Hey Colon, STFU.
Unless you're The Messiah, The One.
“Colin Powell to Skip Gates: You dont argue with a police officer
#####
EyeGuy to Colin Powell: “You don’t vote based on skin color”
Colon who?
I think arguing is fine. So long as you do so without shouting and while complying with his directions (”Okay, sir, I’ll get on the ground, but you’re making a huge mistake.”)
hmmm i dont know, cp doesn’t sound “authentic” enough here. (sarc)
...You do if your an academic elitist and bigoted racist, like Gates is...
I think Skip, perhaps in this instance, might have waited a while, come outside, talked to the officer and that might have been the end of it, Powell said in an interview with CNNs Larry King. I think he should have reflected on whether or not this was the time to make that big a deal.
Skip? Are they FRIENDS? Im pretty sure only his friends call him Skip...KMA Colon...you really ARE done now, man...
and CP points out you can still get Marvin from NYU Law to sue! (apologies Michael Savage, sarc)
CP has love for the USA and respect for authority. Something that Gates doesn’t have.
Another worthless opinion.
It’s not bad advice, really. Especially when “arguing” means raising your voice and becoming belligerent. It is simply never going to make the situation any better for you.
Colin Powell must have seen Chris Rock’s instructional video.
Its a tad bit late for Powell to be making any type of “leadership” statements.
He’s helped unleash 0bama and his Stealth Reparation Administration so he’s got NOTHING to say at this point that anyone on the political Right would or should be interested in hearing.
Nice try Colon we know full well who you are and it is not good so go have a beer with Buds Zero and Skippy
Powell lost all credibility with the American people when he voted for Obama.
The article said, quoting Powell — I would say, the first teaching point is when youre faced with an officer trying to do his job and get to the bottom of something. This is not the time to get in an argument with him. I was taught that as a child. You dont argue with a police officer. In fact, in our schools today, in order to make sure that we dont have things escalate out of control and lead to very unfortunate situations, we tell our kids, when youre being asked something by a police officer, being detained by a police officer, cooperate. If you dont like what happened, or if you think that you have been exposed to something thats racist or prejudicial or something thats wrong, then you make a complaint afterwards and you sue him.

Exactly right. That should be common sense with most people, but if it’s not — it should be said. It’s too bad Gates didn’t learn that one...
Powell is unhappy that he wasn’t invited to the White House for a beer.
He should take this as a teaching moment.
