It seems to me in the name of transparency and fair play---that the President of the United States should now work to dispel any suspicions of some underlying ulterior agenda by coming out in the open with his birth certificate for our inspection.
McCain did not expect us to rely on a statement from a state adminstrator that he was born where claimed. In fact, the democrats would have relentlessly wailed against such a thing--the media would have demanded to see the evidence, not just a third party 'statement'.
McCain understood this and proactively released his actual, detailed birth certificate--verfiable through process and the data recorded on it.
This is fastest and most honorable way to put an end to all the raging conjecture we've been caught up in--conjecture that has been understandable, because we have been stonewalled at every point in requesting information on Barack Obama's background.
We have been bullied and blugeoned to accept on blind faith that we should put out fates in the hands of a man whose background has been blocked from us.
Blocked in an unprecedented way from his personal, academic and professional records--as well as all but one page of his medical history.
And for demanding clarity and openess, we have been ridiculed.
Now we are chagrined to draw back into our little corner of the world and DARE not ask any more questions of the origins, the whys and wherefores of our opaque and mysterious leader.
We are being cowed into setting aside our logical mental processing and fall in line.
ATTENTION CITIZENRY****NO MORE QUESTIONS****
However, if Barack Obama means a shred of what he loftily pontifcates, now is an opportunity for the president to be clear and open with all Americans.
It may be TOO LATE.
They just need a few days to fabricate one. Give them a little more time.

Ok, now please just let use see the certificate that has been so closely held. This will be the key to dispelling any more raging conjecture.

It really won’t matter. He clearly is not a citizen of this country. Even if he was born in Hawaii his upbringing was not American and he only came here for the education. He has had plenty of time and support to fake a birth certificate.
I think Coulter was right, this is a losing issue for Republicans to handle. On the highly unlikely chance we did prove him to be a non-citizen it would trigger one of two things. First and IMO more likely would be a movement to ignore the requirement. They hate the Constitution anyway so this would be a natural move.
Second, if he were removed from office it would trigger a HUGE Constitutional crisis. Biden as our President and trying to unwind all the bills and regulations that have been passed. This would cause terrific damage to our country and economy.
Come on Bill O Reilly stated last night the birther issue is a hoax. This was during a segment dealing with Lou Dobbs. I wanted to destroy my TV but figured it would only hurt me. The segment that follows had to do with the origin of words (which I find as amusing on this show as the body language expert, talk about voodoo). So, I asked a simple question in an email, what is the origin of the words Certificate of Live Birth.

I’m not laughing, but the fact that Obama will not release those records provides fodder for about 50% of the threads on FR as of late. Some days, it seems in excess of 50%.
They would be hard put to come up with a better way to create a distraction.

If you believe that important stories aren’t being posted then you should post them. Most people that I know read/ pay attention to more than one subject at a time.
I don't see how that could be worse than the systematic dismantling of our Constitution that's happening right now under this p"resident".
