I know a lot of ppl from the San diego area, flooded her office with phone calls,, I know I called. and laid this murder right in her lap... Her bright statements, saying entering the US is not a crime, just invites them all to come in.. there is no barrior, we open hiring centers for them, sancturary cities, police cannot touch them.. and with amnesty on the horizon more will be coming.. MY congress man Filner, whose district this happened, could not even issue a statement, but a few years back he marched in the parade for illegals..

East Chicago solider gunned down in Tijuana

TIJUANA, Mex. (STNG) — A 37-year-old 12-year Army veteran from East Chicago was shot to death Sunday outside his fiancee’s home in Tijuana, Mexico, officials confirmed Monday.

Sgt. E5 Anibal Beltran Jr., an active member of the U.S. Army Reserve who was stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and in San Diego, was shot about 9:30 p.m. according to the Baja California Attorney General’s office, the San Diego Union Tribune newspaper said.

Beltran had stepped outside the home in Playas de Tijuana, a suburb, to check on a power outage, where he was shot repeatedly with a 9 mm weapon. Police found a dozen spent shell casings nearby.

The U.S. State Department confirmed the shooting Monday, but a spokesperson said the matter was being handled by the Department of Defense.

A spokesman for the department’s press office said Monday that the incident is under investigation and that no information was yet available.

“He was the most beautiful person in the world,” Beltran’s mother, Elia Rosales, said Monday. “He was always watching out for everybody else.”

Rosales, of Portage, said she had just spent two weeks visiting her son and his girlfriend in Tijuana, just across the border from where he was stationed in San Diego.

“I left on July 6,” Rosales said. “They killed him on the 19th.”

“He was my firstborn,” said his father, Anibal Beltran, of Munster. “What can you say about your son? We had plenty of special moments.”

Beltran, a 1990 graduate of East Chicago Central High School, was only three classes away from earning his bachelor’s degree in nursing from National University in San Diego, said Kiet Ton, of Los Angeles, Beltran Jr.’s good friend with whom he served in the military, and who flew to Portage for the funeral.

“He was an exceptional soldier,” Ton said. “He never said ‘No’ when someone asked for assistance.”

“No words can describe how we’re feeling right now,” Beltran’s stepmother, Sandra Beltran, said Monday.

Beltran Jr. was scheduled to receive a military escort from O’Hare International Airport to Ridgelawn Funeral Home in Gary, this morning.

Ton said Beltran was gunned down while taking his daughter on a visit to his fiancee’s near the beach.

“He was just a great guy, a good, caring, father,” Ton said. About 50 soldiers had a small memorial for Beltran Jr. in San Diego, she said.

Ton said Beltran Jr. had earned two meritorious service medals.

Beltran Jr. is survived by his daughters, Iris and Krystal Beltran, granddaughter Marianna, fiancee Teresa Rocha Ochoa, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Mary Ann Beltran.

Visitation is set for 4-8 pm. today at Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 W. Ridge Road, Gary.

A military funeral with honors is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ridgelawn.

Agent Rosas’ blood is on the hands of those who persecuted Ramos and Campeon. This never should have happened. There should be two agents in each vehicle that is patrolling the border, and they should be armed to the teeth. They should be allowed to shoot to kill and ask questions later when there is a border incursion. We are being invaded by violent, conscienceless foreigners. And we need a double-layer fence at ALL locations like this that are known to be frequented by coyotes and drug traffickers.

Tried to post a comment (as Czar) but, from the look of the response (”your comment will appear after it has been approved”) don’t count on seeing it. I know this will probably shock you, but my comment wasn’t kind to DHS.
