CNN wrong once again birth record not destroyed
Hawaii contradicts network boss' claim that Obama certificate no longer exists
Directly contradicting CNN chief Jon Klein who ordered host Lou Dobbs to quit discussing President Obama's birth certificate the Hawaii Department of Health affirmed that no paper birth certificates were destroyed when the department moved to electronic record-keeping.
"I am not aware of any birth certificate records that have been destroyed by the department," Janice Okubo, public information officer for the Hawaii DOH, told WND. "When the department went electronic in 2001, vital records, whether in paper form or any other form, [were] maintained. We don't destroy records."
Okubo affirmed that beginning in 2001, all vital records, including birth records, moved to electronic formats.
"Any records that we had in paper or any other form before 2001 are still in file within the department," she insisted. "We have not destroyed any vital statistics records that we have."

I have to respect Lou Dobbs for trying to report this story. I mean, he’s in the mainline news and that got a lot of exposure. And that other guy he had on the program couldn’t stop yelling all the time. Lou Dobbs was trying to calm him down.
And to tell you the truth, I’m wondering about the staff at Lou Dobbs, because he got this information from his staff. I wonder if someone there wasn’t “setting up” the story, so that it would have this kind of end — and thereafter *kill it* from any “serious consideration”. That’s because Lou Dobbs was *not* airing this like it was a stupid story. He was serious.
Now..., I’m betting that he’s not going to want to be “set up” again... and so he’ll be reluctant from now on...
Just wondering in my head about that...
LOL! The more I read on this the more I am convinced this guy was not born here. It’s so obvious to any one with half a brain of common sense. I love how the media keeps trying to say this is a dead issue.
IMHO I believe that the conservatives are afraid of being labeled racist, etc... For pursuing this issue... In other words they are putting their careers ahead of their beliefs.
How can anyone objectively look at the facts and not wonder why Obama has not simply signed a release form to end this is beyond my understanding. Look at how they are treating Dobbs. I promise you people like Ann, Bill, and so forth took note, and are choosing the easy way. It’s the same reason why Hillary did not pursue it. She was afraid she would be labeled racist. Compound that with the compliant media.
I kept wondering why Ofrauda wouldn't just have a really good fake appear. The answer is that there may be too much evidence to cover up. Paper copies, electronic copies, backups of electronic copies.
This is why their only recourse is to ridicule the messengers.
$10 release of the real damaging records apparently must never be allowed. I am disgusted.
LOL....I was tempted to do that but I'm still dizzy from last time I went around in circles with ST.
You're a braver soul than I
When they repeated use the term racism like this, then the word has lost all meaning. At some point, good people, regardless of race, will stand up and call evil tyranny what it is. Evil Tyranny.
You've jumped over a cliff!
There are at this point a much greater number of people that believe to a certainty that Bummer is illegit that harbor the similar conviction that he is legit.
This is a big winner for Dobbs, much like his last confrontation with CNN (in which he humiliated them when they had to beg for him to return)
Heck! There were FReepers, too, who were hammering on Dobbs... LOL... I was there...
So... you get conservatives hammering on you (if you’re Dobbs) and you get liberals hammering on you (and he reported that very thing in his segment). So, why get it from both sides?
You said — This is a big winner for Dobbs
—
The very next post after yours says... “Twisted story”
LOL...
Because in the end he wins big by humiliating CNN again. This is swinging big in his favor, and the momentum is increasing exponentially.
Dobbs audience is growing exponentially.
We’ll see how Dobbs plays it... :-) check back in the next two or three weeks and count the birth certificate stories from Dobbs...
Now that he has chosen sides against the deniers, he benefits even if he does nothing. Its like investing in income property in Beverly Hills or Walnut Creek, or Carmel...
Well..., keep in mind that Dobbs was doing a serious story — but at the same time, he makes it very clear that he does believe that Obama does meet the qualifications for the office of President. He made that point very clear so that no one would mistake his featuring the story as his belief that Obama is not qualified. He doesn’t think that. Dobbs does think Obama is qualified.
He’s just going for the story from the angle that Obama should release the birth certificate because there are a lot of people who are interested.
Star, I don't see it that way. I see Jonathan Klein, the president of CNN/US, as being a liar and a schill who doesn't know how to check the facts of his "researchers". Many of us have contacted the Hawaiian office of Vital Statistics and DHHL ourselves (i.e., we do our OWN damn research) and knew the CNN story was false.
This from the original story:
In part, Klein writes, "It seems this story is dead- because anyone who still is not convinced doesn't really have a legitimate beef." Klein asked CNN researchers to dig into the question of why Obama couldn't produce the original birth certificate. The researchers contacted the Hawaii Health Dept. and confirmed that paper documents were discarded in 2001 when the department went paperless. That reportedly includes Pres. Obama's original birth certificate. The only people with egg on their face from this is Jonathan Klein and CNN -- not the "birthers". Dobbs win, again. And unfortunately for Jonathan and Barack, the story is NOT dead ...
I wouldn’t know about his audience as I think this is the first time that I’ve looked at Dobbs in many years (four or five or so)... LOL.. His audience isn’t coming from me, that’s for sure... :-)
This whole thing is such horsecrap. I have long forms for me, my wife and my kids. Going through life, there are sometimes where this document is needed to prove who you are, such as getting a passport. Just recently we had to get a long form for my wife from the state of Louisiana. That state has a reputation of being backwards, but one phone call and $15.00 took care of it. This is such a big lie. Oh wait, so is obama.
I doubt very much the designation of "African" would have been used in 1961. That's not a race. Seems the proper term would be Negro. I smell a rat.
I’m following up on this comment...
“Many of us have contacted the Hawaiian office of Vital Statistics and DHHL ourselves (i.e., we do our OWN damn research) and knew the CNN story was false.”
Now..., I’ve been following the Lou Dobbs story since that particular segment came out. And from all the threads I’ve seen — I have not seen *one FReeper* report any phone call made to the State of Hawaii to contradict the report on the paper copy that Lou Dobbs reported was discarded.
I saw *no one here* ever report that they had contacted the State and specifically had contradicted that report.
NOW..., let me say that there were several who *speculated* (i.e., their own opinion) that it was not destroyed, but no one got *confirmation* from the State of Hawaii that I saw anywhere...
And one additional thing. There was one FReeper who said he was going to call the State today and get confirmation or denial. But I haven’t heard any report back on that one.
