House Dem Putting GOPers On The Spot By Introducing Measure Describing Hawaii As Obama’s Birthplace

Okay, this is getting really good. Dem Rep. Neil Abercrombie of Hawaii is going to introduce a resolution on the House floor today that seems designed to put House GOPers who are flirting with birtherism in a jam.

The measure Abercrombie will introduce commemorates the 50th anniversary of Hawaii’s statehood. But here’s the rub, his spokesman tells me: It describes Hawaii as Barack Obama’s birthplace.

“In the language of the resolution, there is a statement that Hawaii is the birthplace of the 44th President of the United States,” Abercrombie spokesman Dave Helfert confirms.

That confronts House GOPers with a choice: They can vote for the measure, and endorse the idea that Obama was born in Hawaii, which could earn the wrath of birthers. Or they can vote against commemorating the 50th state’s joining of our blessed Union. Or GOPers can skip the vote, but that could look nutty.

Easy, just say, “show us the birht place, i.e., what hospital was he born in, and show us the certificate, who was the attending Dr., where is that little footprint?”

Call the bluff and add an amendment that as a part of the legislation Congress requires Barack Hussein 0bama to provide an authentic long-form Birth Certificate rather than the possibly fraudulent Certification of Live Birth form that he has tried to pawn off as authentic thus far.

Also, the GOPers could follow The One's lead and vote 'Present' or not at all. Why would that make them look 'nutty' when it did not make Obama?

This is exactly the issue..Because of hawaii’s laws Obama could have been born anywhere.

I really believe that he was not born in a Hospital in the US and they claim he was born unattended on the BC...and VOILA..a Hawaiian birth.

The birth certificate will leave a stain on his story and the birthers will never be satisfied because they know what that means.

CNN will never acknowledge that at least one of his parents lied on the marriage application so they could have just as easily lied on his birth certificate...

Obama goes down in history by some as a Usurper because he was caught in a lie about the hospital (which is why the letter for charity fund raising disappeared and the WH won’t acknowledge it- charity fraud)

He is going to fight tooth and nail to keep from being exposed as a liar - even if the birth certificate says he was born in Hawaii.

Who cares how anyone votes on such a resolution? Just because someone votes on this does not mean in any way that they have any proof Obama was born in Hawaii. Republicans can vote for it if they want. I don't care. I just wish they would release Obama’s records.

Even the liberal LA Times on June 30, 2009 in an article dripping with contempt--conceded that the thing Obama's people posted online was "technically... not a birth certificate".

A bill in the US congress with 10 backers currently -- calls for future presidential candidates to be required to show a birth certificate. The library of congress has recently started including the Obama File in its historic collections of Internet materials related to the Presidential Transition during a Time of Crises. The Obama File holds that Obama's birth certificate as presented online is bogus.

Now this story is starting to change.
