Well, the left certainly WANTS that power.
And not based on poverty. Based on ideology.

Trotsky stated that they had changed the paradigm from
“those who will not work will not eat”
to
“those who will not obey will not eat”.

Of course “eat” includes any “privilege” that you might have, including procreation.
