MIAMI, Fla. -- Police are searching recycling centers and scrap yards for a 5-foot long aluminum wheelchair ramp that was stolen from a handicapped man's yard.
Miami Police said a man riding a bike stole the ramp - after pushing the 74-year-old man's wife out of the way. The ramp fit over the stairs.
The thief rode away on his bicycle, carrying the ramp. Police are urging any worker at a center that accepts metal to call them immediately if someone tries to cash it in. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
Why no description of the thief? (As if I didn’t know.)
They might not scrap it. They might use it for a skateboard ramp.
