Poll: President's popularity suffers in health reform push

For the first time since President Obama entered the Oval Office, a majority of voters disapprove of the president's job performance in a Rasmussen tracking poll - a downturn that has the potential to sap the White House's clout as it begins the heavy lifting required for health care reform.

Political strategists and pollsters said Mr. Obama is likely sacrificing his popularity by pursuing an ambitious agenda that engenders opposition.

"As the president attempts to rebuild the economy and improve the health and welfare of an entire nation, he must use his political capital," said Democratic political strategist Donna Brazile. "I don't believe the president can produce [that] kind of change without it taking a toll on his personal popularity."

Stuck on Stupidly

Renowned healthcare and law enforcement expert Obama thinks a totalitarian healthcare system for America would be great but getting arrested for disorderly conduct is institutionalized oppression.

A bazillion unionized government "healthcare" bureaucrats would be telling you if and when and how you can see a doc, which doc, the number of carbon-neutral hamburgers and diet cokes you're allowed to have, while egging granny to go carbon-neutral by offing herself to rid the system of 'waste', but libbies see the Cambridge Police Department as the focus of oppression in the modern world.

Liberals think government is great at running the healthcare, banking, insurance, auto, steel, airline, real estate, retail and energy industries, but terrible with the municipal police gig.

So, during his prime-time "news" conference Wednesday Obama focused like a laser beam on pitching his government-run healthcare plan by . . . insulting a police officer.

Speaking from his vast knowledge about the case, Obama accused Sgt. James Crowley of acting "stupidly" for handcuffing lunatic Harvard prof Henry Louis Gates right in the middle of the 'struggle' over "health care and energy" and despite the two wars "we've got . . . going on." Before taking any action, local police always get briefed on foreign affairs and check with Henry Waxman's committee.

Finally realizing that he was in a hole, Obama on Friday tried to dig even more vigorously by insisting that, based firmly on his lacking the facts, he didn't speak "calibrated" enough about the case. The uncalibrated messiah who wants to calibrate your healthcare explained that he "could have calibrated" the slander "differently". But, calibrating further, he says he stands by his bogus assertion that police overreacted and blew the incident out of proportion when all his chum Gates had done was screamed and yelled and berated and harangued a uniformed police officer as part of a normal ritual called "being a Democrat".

Displaying his deft touch with police, the nut professor had followed Sgt Crowley out the front door and onto the porch, where he continued to scream and yell. Showing he had brushed up on the case, Obama interpreted this as Crowley "pulling Gates out of his home." Officers responding to a reported burglary at a home with a burglary history should assume the erratically behaving suspect forcing his way inside must be the owner. Do not ask for proper ID if he's black, not even real nicely, because that's racial profiling and therefore a barbaric thought crime!

Letting his "post-racial" mask slip and stupidly showing he's carrying a grudge against whites was Obama's real blunder-oo here. If he hasn't hit his Waterloo, he's off to a great start. All except those dead from the neck up see the halfwit community organizer standing on the racist soapbox in a different light after this "teaching moment" he's saved or created. His poll numbers are 're-calibrating' off a cliff after this stroke of brilliance and it's hard to return to your post-racial shtick while covering for some chap who goes postal at the sight of a white guy with a badge. Even ballerina boy Rahm and crew are having a rough go of damage control after Gates pulled the curtains back on Odumbo's 'post-racialism', showing his unfathomable distance from it. To top it all, Obama runs around the world apologizing to Muslims for attacking us but he can't 'calibrate' an apology to Sgt. Crowley.

Obama whines that 'cooler heads should have prevailed' but cooler heads did in fact prevail when the cops cuffed the screaming loser and drove him to the station (although a little tasing would've been nice).

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Obama is just bringing racism and party politics to healthcare.

Actually, I think he’s also trying to “fix” the pending Social Security meltdown. The Healthcare reform legislation also, apparently, includes ‘end of life’ counseling that will encourage seniors to opt for hospice rather than treatment, and seeks to require physicians to prescribe treatments according to standards established by the Feds.

Got an issue funding SocSec? Start killin’ off them old folks. Fewer checks...

It’s time to take back the country.

...Obama is likely sacrificing his popularity by pursuing an ambitious agenda ..

No, it's because folks are finally starting to figure out that the 'Magic Negro' (LA Times) isn't magic at all. He's an inexperienced community organizer, radical socialist who just happens to be a gifted speaker. Joe Biden was right about him from the beginning but few listened.

He’s not that gifted of a speaker. He is NO kennedy or Churchill or Reagan. I’ve watched him speak , it never inspired me. He reminds me of a below average black preacher on a good Sunday. But the media tells people he’s gifted and that makes it so.

This is the time for all those who love liberty to join together with the GOP,Libertarians, et al, Reagan Dems to keep the pressure on to nail Cap and Trade, socialist healthcare plans and to put out ads which in simple lingo can remind the public how bad this naif in the WH is plus his liberal pacifist Dems in Congress.
