CNN president kills birther story
TVNewser reports that CNN President Jon Klein has declared a halt to birther coverage -- a tacit shot at Lou Dobbs.
Klein forwarded Dobbs's producers a memo under this heading, which I suspect won't calm the conspiracists:
Since the show's mission is for Lou to be the explainer and enlightener, he should be sure to cite this during your segment tonite. And then it seems this story is dead - because anyone who still is not convinced doesn't really have a legitimate beef.
One day soon Obama’s past is going to catch up to him.
Probably have to be a rogue agent(s) to get it by Obama’s man Holder. Who is running the the FBI as of now?
That is a really good question...from Good Guys to Gestapo in one easy election... Pray it ain’t so...

Correct. It just means they have, or then had, his original *birth certificate*, not just an electronic copy/image of it, and certainly not just entries in an electronic database reflecting what was on the original. The original.
It may be that they were a little sloppy with their language, and all they have is an image file of the original, which would be better than nothing, but easier to fabricate out of whole cloth than the original paper document.
That would not necessarily be true if the document was electronic from the beginning, since there could be various digital signatures embedded in or associated with it to verify it's authenticity. That could include digital thumbprints from the mother, and the doctor or other attendant.
The current Director, Robert S. Mueller, III, was confirmed as Director of the FBI by the Senate on August 2, 2001. He took the oath of office on September 4, 2001.
He must leave by September 4, 2011. However, since the statutory limit of 10 years was instituted after J. Edgar Hoover's 48 years, all the Directors have served less than the maximum of 10 years. So he may not be around much longer.
But he serves at the pleasure of the President, and he reports to the Attorney General, currently Obama's man, Eric Holder, who was formerly Jackboot Janet's main deputy. He's a long time gun grabber.
