CNN president kills birther story
TVNewser reports that CNN President Jon Klein has declared a halt to birther coverage -- a tacit shot at Lou Dobbs.
Klein forwarded Dobbs's producers a memo under this heading, which I suspect won't calm the conspiracists:
Since the show's mission is for Lou to be the explainer and enlightener, he should be sure to cite this during your segment tonite. And then it seems this story is dead - because anyone who still is not convinced doesn't really have a legitimate beef.

I know people don’t like to give up on paper.... LOL... (just in general, and not just on Obama...), but that’s the way it’s going to go. And people will think differently after they have been born, raised and used *exclusively* all digital. They’ll wonder about our “attachment” to paper...
Unless Congress passes a law, or some Court makes a ruling, that requiring certified copies of Birth Certificates is discriminatory, under the 14th amendment's Equal Protection clause. Poor black and brown folks are less likely to have been born in a hospital you know.
Never mind that even for those groups the fraction not born in a hospital, or without a doctor or midwife in attendence is vanishingly small. Probaby there are more white "Sovereign Citizen" types that would refuse to "register" their children, than minorities who would not have a birth certificate".

Well, I would say that the law could be worked out where if a person never had a birth certificate that it could specify other means by which the details could be verified.
My philosophy on that one is “where there’s a will, there’s a way”... and if the intent of the law is to get *documented proof* you can make the law do that...
And who knows where that document emanated,
which country, who’s stated as the father, etc.?

The wording of “original birth certificate” to me means the long form... but if I’m wrong, I sure would like to hear what someone else has found out about that specific thing...
That's fine, but it's really like locking the barn door after the horses have run off. Fine for next time, not much help now. And the Republic needs help, now, not just in 2012.
Sure they need help now and nothing stops Republicans/conservatives from battling it out in the political arena in regards to legislation and policies and so on...
But, in regards to getting Obama out of office, I haven’t seen any good results in that area. In fact, I see nothing that will work — short of that state law that I’m talking about.

The director of health saw the birth certificate, announced the long-form document is legit, but then FIGURED THEY DIDN’T NEED IT ANY MORE, SO THEY GOT IN A TIME MACHINE, TRAVELED BACK 8 YEARS AGO, and SHREDDED THE PRESIDENT’S LONG-FORM CERTIFICATE to create bedding for their child’s hamster cage.

No, she said *original birth certificate*. The Cerfication, a purported image of which is all anyone else has seen, is not the Original. It's not even a copy of the original. At best it's a copy of part of the information on the original, and it's not extracted directly from the original, but from a database, which has data input from the original.

The lie in the leftist campaign is the notion that socialism/communism are somehow acceptable, if achieved via democratic process. But it’s actually worse... Being thrust into chains by force is one thing; but voting yourself into bondage is something quite different.
