NEWARK, N.J. Officials are decrying political corruption in New Jersey after more than 40 people, among them rabbis and elected officeholders, were arrested in an investigation in which some were accused of laundering tens of millions of dollars and of black-market trafficking of kidneys and fake Gucci handbags.

"New Jersey's corruption problem is one of the worst, if not the worst, in the nation," said Ed Kahrer, who heads the FBI's white-collar and public corruption division. "Corruption is a cancer that is destroying the core values of this state."
Something we can all be proud of.....NOT!!
NJ Ping...
Someome cue Nancy Pelosi’s “stench of corruption” line
I am sick of all of them, both parties.
like a bullfighter waves the red cape away from his own private parts.

I’m personally still proud of my New Jersey roots. We were not involved in any of this nor were my family and friends. Why would I not still be proud of where I was born and raised??? Not good to group ... these people are criminals but they do not speak for the rest of the good people of New Jersey.
I know many were on the local level, but interesting that there is absolutely no Party identification in the article at all. Not that Republicans are excempt from this kinda stuff, but this smacks as Democrat payoff machine type tactics.
as they wipe the sweat off their brow and pass another envelope of cash.
The 44 arrests Thursday were a remarkable number even for New Jersey, where more than 130 public officials have pleaded guilty or have been convicted of corruption since 2001.
Good point...ha ha ha
GREAT. They’ve cut off my ONLY source of fake Gucci handbags filled with human kidneys wrapped in unmarked $100 bills.
What the heck am I supposed to do now? I’ve only got a couple left and the weekend’s coming up!
“All but one of the officeholders are Democrats.” What a shock.
On a side note, I do a LOT of traveling for business and pleasure and I ride my bicycle through some very seedy neighborhoods. Well,I was headed east towards the Newark airport one time and decided to pull off the freeway west of downtown to top off the tank of the rental car. It was the only time in my entire life (I’m 55) I was literally afraid to get out of my car in broad daylight.
I turned in the car with a half full tank.
new jersey has always been the scum pit of america
The initial news article listed the R but did not mention any party affiliation for the D’s....ha ha ha ha
Are you from NJ? You sure know how the game gets played. :o)
I got lost in that neighborhood once.....never so scared in my life, and I was a guard in a men’s state prison.
Ninth paragraph. Last sentence.
All but one of the officeholders are Democrats.
I’ll bet the farm the other one is an east coast RINO in full color.....
