For First Time, Obama's Approval Rating Falls Below 50%

Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance, RASMUSSEN will report later this morning.

This marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of Democrats continue to approve of the President'’s performance while 80% of Republicans disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 37% offer a positive assessment.

The President earns approval from 51% of women and 47% of men.

RASMUSSEN was the most accurate pollster for the final results of the 2008 Presidential election.

General Powell deeply disappointed many Americans by politicizing the last election and helping to install an unremarkable, quite unquaified and very liberal Senator into the highest office of the land.
++++++++++++++++++++++

Yes, that’s so true - deeply disappointing, after many fine years of military service - for which we can be thankful. And that’s putting it nicely, I’m afraid...I think Powell may now realize that we have a socialist/marxist installed as POTUS (or really TOTUS), and he looks like a fool...he’s done in politics, imho.

Many Americans hold that it is American, a duty, to support the President, no matter what one’s politics are. In a more ideal time that was true! That was in times that the candidates had proven themselves as honorable or dishonorable men before attempting a campaign for President.

Today, these are insane times. At least one man ran for and achieved the Presidency who was known to be an amoral liar, a base character who preyed on vulnerable woman and who readily lied under oath. Another man — Obama — ran for the highest office with little known about him, and of what was known almost all was ignored by the media.

Yet a significant percentage of Americans still feel duty bound to support him.

BUT ... how would these loyal Americans feel if they learned Obama was not himself, an American. That he did not hold the office legitimately.

If this were demonstrated in a way hard to deny, then Obama’s support would plummet.

I predict a “retooling” of that “bailout” so that a lot more money is passed around to ACORN and othersuch gangs asap.

Yup! Endorsed and campaigned for him! Having regrets, now, I suspect.

General Powell is beloved by the media — he generates headlines when he brushes his teeth.

I’m talking substantive campaigns on real issues rather than pandering to the lowest common denominator.

Conservatives win when they stay conservative and on message.

For example, a few years ago, before he became MA governor, Romney almost beat Kennedy in MA in a Senate run. He was leading in the polls by double digits when, unaccountably, he moved to “the center” (i.e., to the left), and Kennedy won. MA already had a LIEberal they knew — no reason to change horses in mid-stream.

I say to all conservative politician wannabes: “Screw the media! Screw the Evil Inside the Beltway Crowd of LIEberal suckups! Stick to conservative principles and win the election on the power of your ideas!”

Maybe in 2010 they’ll get the message, and get elected. And do likewise in 2012.

Time to drive a stake in the heart of the LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist Bastards who are working night and day to destroy America!

“Be careful.

Reagan, Nixon, and Clinton all fell below 50% in their first term but all won reelection”

yes but Obama is supposed to be the Messiah. He is the Hope, the Light and the Way. He is the One.

Community organizers make pathetic presidents.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

That is what scares the daylights out of me. To anyone capable of any semblance of logical reasoning there was no reason to think he would be anything BUT a disaster and limitless reasons to KNOW that he WOULD be a disaster. We have allowed the voting franchise to extend to every dunderhead in the country and this is what we get for it. Twenty years ago he couldn’t have gotten elected dogcatcher in a mental institution.

Repeal the Nineteenth Amendment.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I’ll vote for that, I am more and more amazed at the wisdom of the founding fathers. They weren’t perfect but they were closer to it than we are likely to see again on this Earth.

Blacks were about as irrationally and implacably opposed to George W. Bush as they are blindly supportive of Obama.

I’m at the point where if I had gonads large enough I would go to a black church and pull a James David Manning number and scream, “Whass wrong witchall, whass wrong witchall”.

I went to a tea party on the fourth of July and there was a woman there who immigrated from China and is now an American citizen. She addressed the crowd and warned us that she had seen it in China and it is happening in America. She sang God Bless America and America the Beautiful, both in an amazing soprano voice that made your hair stand up and brought tears to the eyes of old soldiers. I think she should be president, she’s not a natural born citizen but does that count for anything now?

Of course, the Founding Fathers put nothing in the Constitution about voting and sex. It just never occurred to any of them that a woman should vote.

In every state that extended the inherently male function of voting to women, BEFORE the Nineteenth Amendment, government began to grow IMMEDIATELY.

BTW: I believe that ONLY married men with children, living with and married to the mother of all their children (exception made for men whose first wife has died, and who are married to a second wife) should be allowed to vote. I.e., married men who are the head of an intact household.

This would guarantee that a far larger portion of the voting population would consider POSTERITY, and the actual wisdom and prudence of candidates, and the actual wisdom and prudence of policy proposals.
