For First Time, Obama's Approval Rating Falls Below 50%

Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance, RASMUSSEN will report later this morning.

This marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of Democrats continue to approve of the President'’s performance while 80% of Republicans disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 37% offer a positive assessment.

The President earns approval from 51% of women and 47% of men.

RASMUSSEN was the most accurate pollster for the final results of the 2008 Presidential election.

This is admittedly a little imprecise, but let's crunch a few numbers. Let's say he still claims the support of 49 of every 100 persons called, and that includes an immoveable 97 percent of the black vote which accounts for 13 percent of the total. 97 percent of 13 rounds up to . . . 13, so let's be conservative and round down to 12. Remove the black vote from the total and subtotal and that means he has the support of about 37 of the remaining 87 voters.

That leaves him with about 42 percent support among everyone else.

Blacks were about as irrationally and implacably opposed to George W. Bush as they are blindly supportive of Obama. If you similarly discount their numbers in Bush's overall support, Bush's numbers at this stage of his presidency among everyone else are spectacular compared to Obama's numbers.

He’s going to be demanding consitutional referendums Chavez-style before this is all over.

His goal is to give America back to what he thinks are it's rightful owners. Oboma IS Acorn. Oboma IS Rev. Write. Oboma IS Louis Farrakon.
In Obomas mind, he's Abraham Lincoln and he's determined to free what he thinks are the slaves. He wants to enslave the middle class to serve those who who HE thinks should be served.
Oboma is an angry, racist, bigoted man out to get even with those he thinks stole the country away from his faithful followers.
All his policies so far have pushed Americas wealth in one direction. It's not sharing. It's enslaving.

Pretty simple calculation. Approval rating would be 43%

This means they are going to rush the socialized medicine bill through Congress as quickly as they can. With Obama’s sinking popularity, it’s probably now or never for these marxists.

Geeze. These people have got to have a death wish, or they're really, really dumb.

Americans have begun to wake up from the Hopium Overdose, and are realizing what they have done.

The result could end very badly for Dems, IF Repubs have someone savvy enough to take advantage of it.

I think the suicide of the teleprompter was a bad omen for BHO. It kind of accelerated his drop in popularity.

The BC issue going viral this week probably helped too. It causes people to think: what’s he hiding? Is he an American?

If we were fortunate to have real election opposition to Obama they would have compared Obama “community organizer” to Al Sharpton “community organizer.” Rev. Wright is a blantant racist and Republicans stupidly let that go just like they ignored the questions about his natural born citizenship and his Marxist background and economic ideology.

Stupid and dishonest Moderates did not want to appear extreme in talking about such ugly and radical realities. I think Republican White Moderates actually embrace Obama’s “liberal” social ideology. They know the discrimination and harassment is not going to reach their darlings (i.e. Meghan McCain).

You are right. There are a lot of people who are afraid of the White House thugs. Amazing!

But it explains how the Left has buckled the people, socially, under their boot. Cowards and back stabbers. The same happened with the segregationists. Fear of being attacked and ruined will buckle under most people to go along with haters.

Thanks! I was stumped by what percentage of the population in the poll you would call Democrat, but sort of thought it would have an impact of 5 or so percent. Funny how the media doesn’t bring this up, eh?

“Well now ...
I bet it’s much lower than this.”

Daily KOS/Opinion Dynamics still has him at 61% approval, and that is the number the Media will trumpet, not this one. But that is for the sheep, and HEAVILY biased.

“Believe that time is on our side. The economy is no where near healthy”

The ecomony is acting EXACTLY as predicted to Obamunism, but watch the Media trumpet the slight uptick this summer.

It will drop fast this fall, again, but you won’t hear much about that.

No,no no!!! Some of us women have more cajones that a lot of the men. Look at Sarah and Michelle Bachman. Now look at Lindsey Graham. Please give us time to work on the others. This 51% is a lot lower than it was for demis a couple years ago, so there is hope!

You know this will drive him nuts (maybe literally). He is so used to being adored and fawned over; given free passes for everything he does. Vain and narcissistic people can’t stand when others ignore them or dislike them.

But I predict he will only increase his media presence with even more news conferences, primetime “addresses” and whatnot. I’m sure there will be a dozen covers of Fashionable Michelle and The Happy Family on magazines next month.

It seems that fanning the flames between whites and blacks is his payback to America for sinking poll numbers.

It seems pretty coincidental to me that this incident with Gates took place just when it did. I mean when Obama's support is tanking; and his health care plans are being blown apart we suddenly have a racial incident? And this guy, who is admittedly a friend of Obama's is the center of it? Come on now, seems to me there is something fishy about this. Something planned to fan the flames and arouse the support of the race that put BO in the WH. And just enough of an event, without any blood spilling, gun fights, arm wrestling, etc. that became a topic during a Press Conference about Health Care...and Obama addressed it?

It is a bit too smelly to me. Could these guys have talked and planned this? Hmmmmm???

As to Obama's poll numbers: Submarine captains say it best..."Dive, dive, dive."
