maybe they'll consider a barstool option too.

I’d rather stand than sit in an airliner seat.

Ummm, doesn’t FREE mean zero revenue? Are we trying to re-create the 2000 internet -stock mania?
I guess they will charge $15 for a coke to make up for it.

this standing stuff will have people draped all over each other, especially over the seats.. The obese who stand will take up 2x their room... the small people will be shoved.... and what about safety? this is insane.... all about the bottom line... and cattle calls.

Ryanair seems to be making the assumption that all of its takeoffs and landings will go without a hitch. If there is a rough landing, or worse, someone is going to be hurt, badly.

There are people who are not healthy enough (overweight, etc.) to stand for an hour. They’ll show up for the free fare anyway. They’ll sue. How’s the airline going to handle that?

Standing while on an airplane? Would that violate FAA regs?

If there’s a patch of turbulence, people—and their crap—can get thrown around like rag dolls. I can also imagine all of the drunken chavs who’d take the free flight to their next attempt at soccer hooliganism.
Remind me not to fly Ryanair.

How about the India option just pack them on top of the wings and fuselage!

I stand on my Korean flights.
14 hours from US to Japan.
I usually get a row 63 seat, right in front of the toilets.
The, you can stand up, go behind your seat and push it waaaay forward.
I often stand 7 or 8 hours for those flights.

In event of depressurization, masks will drop from the ceiling above the seats. Standing room only passengers will be revived at a lower altitude if possible. Remember, Ryanair charges your next of kin a $50 body recovery fee.

I flew from RDU to DEN a few years ago. Four hour flight.
It was a small twin jet, maybe a Bombardier, don’t recall.
Anyway, the seats were like concrete and distorted shape.
Myself and about a dozen passengers finally stood up in the aisle to get some relief from the awful seats.
Spent about half the flight standing.

Um, who will pay for the fuel?
And the pilots?
And the ground crew?
And the plane?
Free? LOL! Why stop there?
Why not ask if they would fly if they paid them to fly?
