Senate Republican Whip Jon Kyl, an Arizona conservative, says he'll vote against Sonia Sotomayor's nomination to the Supreme Court.
While Kyl's opposition is not a major surprise, he is a key member of the Judiciary Committee, and his "no" vote may encourage other Judiciary Republicans to vote no. Kyl was undecided as early as yesterday.
Republicans are privately predicting Sotomayor could get as many as 70 yes votes on her Senate confirmation, but a party line vote out of Judiciary could keep that number a bit lower.
ABC's Jan Crawford Greenburg has more:
"Calling her Judiciary Committee testimony 'evasive, lacking in substance and, in several instances, incredibly misleading,' Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl said he will vote against Sonia Sotomayors nomination to the Supreme Court."

Even though he has no vote .. LOL. Charlie's pandering for support amongst the conservatives he abandoned by supporting the worst president of our lifetimes.
Gov. Charlie Crist says he opposes Sonia Sotomayor

~~PING!
Won’t matter. She will pass easily. Too many RINOs
Why on Earth would I care what Charlie Crist believes? He has no vote.
They should all hold off until they see the documents. They could go on forever.
DeMint/Palin for 2012. I think we have found our Presidnet/VP.
DeMint had the only 100% Conservative score in 2008 and Sarah has Our support anytime she wants.
Slow on the uptake?
I wonder if Crist would announce opposition to Sotomayor if he didn’t face a primary challenge from the much-more-conservative Rubio.
I think they would make a good team for America. Doesn’t matter to me which one is President or VP. They are conservative and care about America and the American people. Just my opinion.
I agree and like them.
BINGO!!
Charlie Crist opposes Sotomayor’s confirmation? That’s not something I expected. I still hope that he loses the primary.
He’s not retarded. He’ll pander to the base. 3 to 2 if he was already a Senator he’d be voting for her.
Soon he’ll be saying that in hindsight porkulus was a mistake.
