SNIPPET: “PHOENIX - A dust storm is passing through Phoenix, and visibility has been reduced to a quarter-mile. The large dust storm is covering most of the southeast Valley.
The weather is having an impact on flights at Sky Harbor. Three US Airways flights and one Southwest Airlines flight were diverted to Tucson where there are no delays — affecting about 500 passengers.”
For any of you out there that haven’t been to Yuma in July, you can have the same experience by laying out in your yard wrapped in a sheet of black plastic in the full sun today.
An few hours ought to do it.
And have someone throw sand at you once in a while.
On the positive side, my friend's wife caught a turtle once in Yuma (in the Colorado River).
I think the only reason that turtle was still there was that his legs were too short to carry him away.
Cheers.
