Computerized Election Results With No Election
slashdot ^ | july 10 | kdawson

"In Honduras, according to breaking Catalan newspaper reports (translations available, USA Today mention), authorities have seized 45 computers containing certified election results for a constitutional election that never happened. The election had been scheduled for June 28, but on that day the president, Manuel Zelaya, was ousted. The 'certified' and detailed electronic records of the non-existent election show Zelaya's side having won overwhelmingly."

Yeah we used those computers in our last presidential election - imagine that.

If people don’t believe there is a conspiracy to bring down this country - you are crazy.

Acorn must have a branch office in Honduras. Hope Obama and Chavez do not overthrow the government and put their guy in.

Well, the ballots came from Chavez, so I guess the computers came from him also.

I hope the Honduran military acts quickly when Zelaya shows up. They should have offed the guy when they had him in their hands.

With the long border they have with Nicaragua most of the insurgents are going to be unemployed Nicaraguan yutes.

I sure wish that area would catch up to the 21st century.

Honest liberal = oxymoron.

With this event as evidence we had better put a kink in computer voting. We scan paper ballots and count electronically in ND, at least in our part of the state. I am OK with that but not without paper trail.

I expect that Zelaya will say they were planted, and BO and his media handmaidens will run with the story. How incredible it seems now to remember that not long ago everybody kept saying that communism was dead.

This thread, U.S. increases pressure on Honduras' de facto leaders, considers a story from yesterday's LA Times.

Computerized Election Results With No Election

This is the natural result of the fatal combination of egalitarianism and mindlessnes.
Most liberal idiots are incapable of grasping the simple connection between the "rule of law" and the somewhat obvious reality that left to themselves, most humans will succumb to their basic instincts, i.e. criminal behavior, to fullfill their desires or needs.

There is NO doubt in my mind that Ortega, in Nicaragua, also won his "election" through fraud, with strategic, political, financial and human support from Ortega and Castro.

That the (arguably) most technologically advanced country on earth can't devise checks and balances to prevent similar fraud in the US just guarantees that it will increasingly happen here, too.

That's what happens when the bottom of the gene pool attains power; from the top down, and with the aid and comfort of the the (well-intentioned) people who earn the money to keep the country going.

Reality check.
The US (presumably) leads the 21st century.

How's that working out?

This world is in for a huge “ shake-up”, I just hope it falls toward freedom and not another dark age.

It's isn't a matter of "can't". It's a matter of WON'T.

The Democrat Party can't offer up any valid reasons why there should be no requirement of photo ID to vote in spite of many instances of voter fraud stealing votes from legitimate Americans.

You have to present ID to enter a bar, to buy tobacco, to buy alcohol, to drive a car, to write a check, to cash a check, to use a credit card, to board an airplane, and in numerous other activities adults engage in daily.

The crooked politicians and their brownshirts NEED weak links in elections.

...and this is the kind of “democracy” that Obama is concerned with protecting. Keeping the dictator in power is something that the GOP did during the Cold War, and that the press and Left flayed us for. But now, when ZeroBama does it, it suddenly becomes a “heroic President striving to see every (illegal) vote counts!” Unbelievable!
