Once again, an ethics complaint has been filed and publicly released in violation of state law. This is the sixth complaint filed by Ms. McLeod. In addition, she has filed a lawsuit against the Governor's office and multiple public records act requests. All of her prior complaints that have been ruled on have been dismissed. The Ethics Act serves important state interests in ensuring ethical state government and was intended to prevent the various forms of corrupt misconduct that had plagued the Legislature in prior years and which resulted in the prosecution of legislators and others. It is unfortunate that the law has been abused and trivialized in the current manner.
Todays complaint, filed just six days before the Governor leaves office, alleges that Governor Palin violated the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act by failing to submit complete gift disclosure forms in a timely manner, and obtained free services. The apparent primary goal of this complaint has been achieved, namely, an effort to keep the complainants name in the paper. We anticipate another dismissal of this complaint as with the complainants other complaints. This is the fourth ethics complaint filed against the Governor since the announcement of her resignation on July 3. In every case, the complainers violated the confidentiality provision of the Ethics Act in making their complaints public knowledge.

Alaska should have written an abuse clause in their complaint system, fining the abuser.
You said — Alaska should have written an abuse clause in their complaint system, fining the abuser.

Yeah, I would agree. I would want them to be careful how they do that, because if there are legitimate complaints against officials I wouldn’t want that hampered. So, they need to figure out how to legitimately stop the serial abusers of this system...
I don’t think it’s that difficult. I have worked in various systems where abuse clause were in place. The attorneys know how to get it done. When someone files a complaint every week or so, that’s abusing the system, unless it’s against congress.
You said — “... unless its against congress.”
LOL...
Sometimes I channel Will Rogers.
Just curious... If the complainer is violating the confidentiality clause in the Ethics Act, wouldn’t Palin have some type of legal recourse?
Ahhh... yes. Good ole Will Rogers is not too far from here... (in Claremore, OK).
Seriously, when are people going to go after McLeod? Conservatives always fight too timidly.

Yes, indeed..., but I would prefer correcting the system so that serial abusers can’t continue abusing — instead of becoming a serial abuser myself... :-)

I have no patience with whiners!
Andree McCleod I'm going to do some homework on you.
evil but ugly
There are two of these dingbat broads attacking Gov. Palin with the “ethics” charges. Andrea McCleod and the pudgy redhead who calls herself “Celtic Diva.” I believe her last name is Biehl. Both skanks. Nasty, jealous shrews. Revenge is NOT a beauty treatment, girls...
McCleod is still alone.
