State Sovereignty. The only thing that can save us, short of revolution.

What part of the Constitution exactly is it that grants the authority to the Federal Government to mandate health insurance be purchased by individuals, and grants the authority to punish through fines if they do not?

Certainly not the Interstate Commerce clause.

I suspect that what they’re really concerned about is the fact that when the Federal government spends their money, they can’t use it to buy the votes they need to stay in office. I doubt it has to do with fiscal responsibility in any way.

The more the federal government consumes the less left to the states. Many of the states are already bankrupt. So things are only going to get worse, much worse.

Then there is the question of administration. The plan will be administered on a state by state basis. That means that you must go to a doctor or facility in your state for treatment.

The poor socialists in Southwest Virginia who depend on East Tennessee for doctors and specialists and hospitals will be out of luck. They will be forced to drive 150 miles to Roanoke for first class hospitalization.

Congressman Rick Boucher is quiet on the issue

"If we screw this up, it could last a generation."

And this is the strongest, most articulate statement we can get from the head of the GOP???

Sheesh..
