There was barely enough room to tread water as thousands of swimmers crowded into a pool in an attempt to escape China's scorching heatwave.
But the fact there was no elbow room was not going to stop the fun in the world's most populous nation.
Families desperate to escape the heat grabbed their rubber rings to jostle for space at a local pool in Nanjing, the capital of the Jiangsu Province.

Dear God...I’d rather be home sitting in my bathtub with some nice cool water.

What good is the wave pool? The wave can’t go anywhere and no one can duck under it or ride it.
To: NormsRevenge
That’s not a swimming pool - that’s a giant bowl of human soup.

40 degrees Celsius = 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
They will get a bit of relief on Wednesday during the eclipse--should cause the temperature to drop a bit.

So are you saying that the sun has more to do with “climate change” than does carbon dioxide?
Just wonderin.

I wouldn't think of blaming the sun for climate change. That would let the evil multinational corporations and George W. Bush off the hook. Can't do that.
Nighttime temperatures are usually lower than daytime temperatures. Having the sun invisible in the middle of the day, even if only for 6 minutes 39 seconds, may cause a drop in the temperature. At least that sort of thing used to happen in the days before global warming.
