How long ago was the oil change?? Check the oil level and under the car for leaks.
What is the make, model and year of the car?
And eh, are you stunned by that!!! LOL
Well, fill the coolant overflow to the correct line with coolant or water but check the oil using the dipstick. Make sure it is at the full line.

Start it up and then look underneath at the drain plug for leaks. If you get a better view of the filter from inside the hood, so be it.
But first make sure there is oil in the crankcase (look on the dipstick)
Did the car have this problem before the last oil change? If not, fill it with enough oil to get it to the place you had the oil change done and have them check their work.
No oil, no coolant. When you fill both up again, check the exhaust. Is it clean or smoky?? If smoky you have an engine problem. Check the valve cover to see if it is leaking oil.
I hope it is just low fluid levels, but the worst case that would cause both oil and coolant to disappear is a cracked block.
Well, that call about the massive reserves that insurance companies maintain made my ears perk up.
I spent eight days on there. I do miss it!!
May be the loose filter then, which makes it less obvious.
Do you have a mechanic friend that can come over and check things out, without the car leaving your house?
