And a third and more impotant factor that these guys always fail to acknowledge :$$$$$$.
Try the Manning factor

I think the best assessment is this combined with the fact there are a lot of sheeple....

Don’t forget the SPRING, SUMMER & FALL of DISCONTENT! Mason Dixon
IMO, Zero won because of MASSIVE voter fraud thanks to the goons in ACORN and his millions of questionable campaign donations from possibly Hamas, Hezbollah, out of Gaza’s war chest, or other Middle Eastern holes. Oh, yes, let’s not leave out his pals in the MSM that trashed Bush for eight years on a 24/7 basis.
How many dead voted in 08? My guess they crawled out of the ground in record numbers as well as many in Alzheimer’s units.
Summer of Bam?
I’m sure that some fraud was there but I think that the real reasons were a horrible Republican presidential candidate, weariness over GWB, a horrible Republican presidential candidate, a shiny new thing promising change and a horrible Republican presidential candidate.
I wholeheartedly concur.
The most succinct assessment of the 2008 presidential campaign yet.
It’s beginning to look like Acorn played a huge roll in Obama winning and not fairly.
From a fellow redhead -- AGREED. And to me, the most crucial thing now: Conservatives/Republicans MUST be brave enough to call the illusion's bluff. It takes real courage, and many Repubs/conservatives are as yet too weakly constituted to muster that courage to defy what looks so real.
Obama's popularity, like Hillary's (as proven in the Dem primaries), is and always was an illusion created by the MSM. Democrats/Liberals have to cheat to win because they are in the minority and their candidates would lose because the majority of Americans reject them.
But the MSM is as expert at creating illusions as David Copperfield or any other professional magician, and America and the rest of the world believe the illusion because it is so difficult to see through. But it IS illusion -- the fact that Dems/Libs have to cheat to win PROVES it.
More proof that America's so-called yearing for more and bigger government is an illusion: conservatism works everytime it's tried. The only reason it isn't tried more often is because GOP/conservatives are afraid to take that brave step to shatter the illusion they themselves think is real. So they water down conservatism with big-government moderates; hell -- the entire GOP primary was focused not on selecting the best representative of limited government conservatism, but on choosing "someone who could beat Hillary." As it turned out, Hillary's support among Dems was illusion ... Obama won the primary instead. And the GOP had fielded the weakest bunch of primary candidates (McCain, Huck, Romney, Giuliani) just to beat her!
The time is now to get brave, find courage, accept and remember that we ARE the majority and the popularity of Obama is mythical illusion. Hard to do when it looks so real ... but a little easier when one remembers lessons from the past two years.
Awesome and right on!!!
You nailed it. Especially the part about a horrible rep candidate :)
In 2004, George W. Bush won 51% of the popular vote despite having the media almost solidly against him (and in some cases fabricating false information to smear him with, e.g. Dan Rather).
52% vs. 51%: not a big difference, considering.
Lots of voter fraud helped BeeO out a whole lot.
Especially when Evan Thomas, the editor of Newsweek, admits the MSM is worth 15 pts to the Democrat candidate.
What none of these polls seem to include is the fact people are angry that the Obozo goes overseas and constantly apologizes, usually to thug dictators, for how awful we are. He offends our allies and bows to our enemies. I just HATE that, and I know others do, too.
