So much for Allmendream's open and shut phylogenetic case for chimps being closer to humans than to the other great apes! Now the high priests of the Temple of Darwin are saying that we are more closely related to orangutans. And no doubt, should the Temple of Darwin throw out the Chimp (and embrace the Orangutan) as humanity's closest living relative, the rest of the Evos will obediently follow.

Talk about belonging in religion!

I know you don’t accept the evo theory, but I hope you still enjoy debating this question.

If it were true that ‘man’ evolved from ‘the apes’, is it then possible that different races evolved from different ‘ancestors’????

Is it possible some men evolved from African apes, and some from Orangutans?

God has a sense of humor. He made us just close enough that when my wife's best friend went to the zoo with her long flowing red hair they asked her to leave. The dominant male orangutan was attacking the glass.

The world of human phylogeny has been hit by a bombshell.

Another line of made up BS..

when it comes to bones, this has always stuck in my craw...

at one time, Peking Man was the oldest known found and then the entire country of China was sealed off forever.

later along comes Leakey, but, China has remained sealed off and who is to say there aren't undiscovered surprises left unfound for not being allowed to search for them.

Thanks for the link.

If the means of research can be controlled the results of the research can be controlled and this obvious bias in the choosing data certainly has been no secret within the Darwinist camp.

Like the defense of peppered moth fiasco, this cherry-picking of data is an example of the intellectual bankruptcy in The Temple of Darwinism.

So much drama and so little science from the creationists.

Something creationists have been talking about for a long time!

OH, NO! A few scientists think ape “B” is a little closer to humans that ape “A,” but the rest still think ape “A” is closer!

HELP! MY WORLD IS CRUMBLING!!

You know, the way creationists react to (actual) scientific debate is both funny and revealing.

This human-orang clade idea has been around for quite awhile. It still has some advocates. Occasionally they manage to put together some evidence good enough to get published. It doesn't look at present like the human-orang clade thesis will prevail over the human-chimp clade thesis, but if it ultimately does, then fine.

BTW, notice how GGG and crew entirely ignore the fact that NO scientist currently argues for, of finds evidence for, a great ape clade separate from a human clade! The only argument is as to which great ape or apes humans group with exclusive of the others. IOW it is agreed by all active anthropologists that humans are nested WITHIN the apes.

More evidence that the Temple of Darwin runs the worst. conspiracy. ever. How could the High Priests in charge of suppressing all dissenting views let this material into not only a peer-reviewed journal but into a popular science magazine where anyone could see it? Heads will roll, I tell you!

“chimps are the nearest relative to humans because we share over 98% of their genes “

I bet we share 98% of our genes with many animals.
