No. Not Ron Paul. Never Ron Paul.

Who is actually running right now, BTW?

I get the feeling with Debbie that she is something of an elitist. Not the vicious snobs that David Brooks and Peggy Noonan are, but the type that thinks so many people have so much less intelligence than her (she is a Mensa member) that she looks down on them.

When the former Miss California said the words "opposite marriage" in response to Perez Hilton's baiting question, that was enough to brand her as a blonde bimbo in Debbie's eyes.

And that reaction from Debbie was most unfair. I'm sure Carrie Prejean was somewhat nervous answering such a loaded question from a pro homosexual activist. That is why she used the somewhat funny words, "opposite marriage." Carrie Prejean's answer cost her the crown and eventually her title and Debbie doesn't seem to care.

Ah, the usual cop out answer given by FR's own anklebiters whenever they are asked who they support after a Palin attack.

So who do you support then? Not Romney. Not Paul.

Huckabee? Pawlenty? Newt?

Anybody but Sarah Palin I take it, whether they are RINO hacks or not...

He’s certainly seems like a typical Mitt supporter - cagey, not willing to state his opinion.

Thankfully he is not a Palin supporter, he probably dislikes people that say what they mean, do what they say, and take a position.

“So you have no issue with Palin’s lack of substance...”

If you mean that she’s not a polished, hypocritical BS artist, that’s true...and laudable.

“on issues, her inability to watch over what’s happening in her own family while chasing a career”

No one has a right to pronounce judgement on a parent like that.

“her simplistic answers on policy”

The word “simplistic” is left-speak for “clear and unconflicted.”

Not since Reagan has the right seen this kind of opportunity.

I have read that church records indicate that most first borns in Puritan New England came only a few months after the parents wedding.
And Ms Palin is not to be allowed by you to to have a career?
Get out of here!

How about appearing in People Magazine glorifying their daughter’s single motherhood

Her daughter got pregnant out of wedlock. There were two courses of action. She could either "choose" to pay for an abortion or "choose" to keep her grandchild.

I don't have a problem with the course she took. Why do you?

So anyone who supports Palin is a Kool-Aid drinker? BS.

Let me tell you about another girl who did something dumb and had sex at 16. Her parents were good people, about the best parents anyone could ask for. They were responsible. They set rules and boundaries (that she felt were quite unfair at the time) about what she could do and where she could go. They warned their daughter about the dangers of casual sex. Like a typical dumb teenager, she didn’t listen.

That girl was me.

I was lucky. I didn’t get pregnant. My parents would have been devastated if I had gotten pregnant while still in high school. I can only imagine what they would have felt, after having done everything they could have to educate me.

How can you stand there and curse Sarah Palin? Do you realize what she must have gone through? Her daughter’s preganancy must have been a very emotional event that caused the whole family very real pain. Yet all you see in it is a cheap stick with which to bonk Palin over the head.

I can’t believe this is the same guy I talked Angels baseball with last fall. When did the PDS infect you? How many other friendships with conservatives have you thrown away because of an irrational hatred for Palin?

My God, what’s happening to us? Obama’s pushing crap-and-trade, socialist health care, a racist Supreme Court nominee, and surrender to Iran, and all we can do is fight amongst ourselves?

If you disagree with Palin, or any other Republican, is it too much to ask to request that you express your disagreement rationally, with logic and reason, rather than regurgitating leftist talking points and making personal attacks, like calling all Palin supporters Kool-Aid drinkers?

Basically, toby meant that Debbie had the same reason as those three-namely opportunism.

I take a look at the whole picture, her record in Alaska before being selected, and since her return. I’ve listened to the interviews, and I’ve listened to her speeches, and interviews before and after. I’ve read her op/ed on the polar bears, on cap and trade, I’ve read what she’s written about missile defense cuts, and find no lack of substance. Really, one bad interview and she’s supposed to be finished? Name me one family anywhere that didn’t have problems from time to time. As far as I’m concerned, they handled it pretty good considering the glare of the spotlight.

Unfortunately, I think you are the one who is being simplistic.

Well said.

I am proudly supporting Palin. I am doing so because I have listened to her. I have read her speeches and loked at her policies. I have talked to people in Alska whom I know and trust. And I have reflected, thought about it, and seriously prayed about it.

I support her of my own free will, knowing that she represents the atithesis of what those out to destroy this country are deluging us all with.

I will support her from now, through the mid terms, through the primaries, and through the 2012 elections. Others are free to make their own decisions, but I believe, should she prevail, that all conservatives and many, many independents will unite behind her.

From your first link (the supposedly favorable story on Sarah)...

I have to question the judgment of somebody who sources her information by saying, "one story goes..." and then follows that with supposedly(lol) contradictory information by saying, "They are now saying...".

Schlussel actually thinks that she has nailed Sarah for changing her story based on what? A "one story goes..." source? How absolutely pathetic. Anybody who takes Schlussel seriously after reading that trash should be ashamed of themselves.

Perhaps she did some objective investigation and came to the conclusion the Palin was not a desirable candidate.

Read the first article -- the supposedly favorable article where she trashes the Palins endlessly becuase of the names that the Palins gave their kids.

Schlussel doesn't appear to be an "objective investigator".

I cleared up the mystery of the evasive EveningStar, it is social conservatives that turn her off, a big defender of Giuliani and Romney and later McCain but a constant negative against pro-life, social conservatives that are strong values candidates.

EveningStar describes herself as a “conservative-libertarian”.
