If anyone should be jailed it should be the majority of voters in Murtha’s congressional district. They will just elect another anti-USA liberal.

The key was the last paragraph of the article: “Of course, it is always possible that Attorney General Eric Holder will put the kibosh on a criminal prosecution of Murtha himself...”

Must be nice to be a politician or elected official....

I call BS. The RATS will drag this out until Murtha dies in office, then appoint another corrupt RAT replacement. And the union goons in his district will re-elect the new crook, too.

More on Murtha. I like the way Boehm talks about Murtha's "crummy little firms." LOL!

Thanks for posting, Smooth.

Thanks for pinging the list, Jaz.

Meanwhile, Matthew Mazonkey, Murtha’s ever-loyal communications director, just can’t believe all this shocking behavior by these corrupt contractors.

Captain Renault: "I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!"

(Of course, Capt. Renault was worth cheering for, not so much Mazonkey)

LOL!

Even at Mazonkey’s young age he should recognize corrupt when he sees it, they don’t come any more corrupt than his boss!

And you’re right about Captain Renault, he had style. :-)

The criminals in congress will do nothing whatsoever. Murtha knows where all the bodies are buried. So did Jefferson...when he ran for office the DNC did not financially support him so he lost. It’d be nice if the same would be done to Murtha...I won’t hold my breath.

No, I didn’t.

Now this is really funny. You have to wonder what kind of attorney this Dennis McGlynn is to even think about appealing this right now.

After Ianieri pleading guilty to kickbacks involving “K” which is safe to assume means Kuchera, it’ll be a cold day in hell before the Navy lifts that ban, at least not before the full investigation is completed.

I wonder what McGlynn’s hourly rate is? From this it seems no matter the rate, he charges too much. :-)

Wouldn't surprise me if Murtha tucked an earmark for McGlynn's lawfirm in to the latest defense appropriations bill. Nope, wouldn't surprise me at all. Couple of million here, couple of million there....

Thanks for pinging your list, Tribune7!

I hope the Feds keep on peeling the layers away until they get to the rotten Murtha core.

re Senator Stevens comparison. My meager knowledge is that there were a lot of accusations and little evidence. We could hear the judge's condemnation of the prosecution all the way up here in Fairbanks, and I believe that he was sincere in his smack-down. Their work was beyond the pale, sloppy and underhanded. Heaven help anyone who has to go to trial against such a corrupt prosecution.
I'd still rather hear the old lion roaring in the halls of Congress today than the little pretty boy who took his place.

I followed the story and remember it much the same as you.Stevens was treated very shabbily, I thought, even by members of his own caucus, IIRC.

Stevens was also hung, drawn and quartered at this forum upon announcement of his indictment.
