Obaba Copycat and MA Governor Deval Patrick: Out in 2010?
The Politicizer ^ | July 18, 2009 | Michele Walk

It is looking increasingly unlikely that Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick will face an easy campaign in 2010, and it is near safe to say he will probably not be re-elected. Patrick’s numbers are slipping to what has been called “Bush-level:” in May, his disapproval rating was at almost 70% – a number that will surely skyrocket when the 1.5% sales tax increase to 6.5%, supported by Patrick, is implemented in August. Patrick promised in 2006 not to raise taxes and curtail wasteful spending – and has done neither. While he does have Obama campaign czar David Plouffe working for him, Massachusetts voters will likely be unresponsive to his lofty rhetoric and toss him and his Obama-like speeches out of the State House.

Though the election for Governor of Massachusetts hardly has national implications – the fact that Gov. Patrick was elected on a platform that was widely considered to be the ’sandbox test’ for the Obama method is now facing dismal approval numbers, and voters asking “where is the hope and change?” Deval Patrick’s campaign makes this the first re-election test of the Obama method.

Hopefully MA really will be wise to all of those empty speeches by 2010. Obama and his cronies need to be thrown off the political map!

In NY the democrats used the same simplistic kindergarten campaign slogan of “change”. In 2010 I suspect we’re going to have some real change that takes us back to adult governing.

Don’t I wish.

Say what you will about Romney, I never missed him more than when we had our first real snow storm under Coupe-de-Val. Romney had snow plows out before the first snow flake hit the ground and they stayed out in force.

Deval didn’t plow 128 and it snow all night, the traffic had packed the snow into rock hard washerboard ice.

These liberals are oh-so-smart but their hairbrained ideas constantly blow up in our faces.

Patrick will probably be re-elected, because he will only need around 38% of the total vote to actually go his way, with an Independent candidate and a Republican candidate diluting the total “non-Patrick” vote totals among each other on November ‘10. There’s no way Patrick seriously loses when he’s facing more than just a Republican candidate on November ‘10, and this is a serious problem for those who really want to defeat Patrick!

Come August I’m increasing my bit to starve Leviathan. I’ve been buying things online tax-free for a while, and now I’m willing to drive an hour or more to sales tax free New Hampshire for what I see as a monthly shopping trip. Even if I only break even and don’t save all that much, at least most of what I’m spending won’t be in Massachusetts.

Deval Patrick is widely seen here, by conservatives (all three of us), most independents and even some lefties as a LIAR. He sold a bill of goods that he not only did not deliver (cutting property taxes, ending patronage), but has made clear that he never even intended to do so.

Sadly, he is only part of the problem here. I’m hoping he gets crushed in a shocking landslide, shocking enough to put the legislature on notice.

I think it may be reversed, BO was built on the Patrick model.

He may well be gone considering his disastrous performance in office.

While I hope we get rid of Dufus Patrick, it was Obummer who plagarized from Patrick. Obama is Patrick-lite.

Backstabber Mitt Romney did not even help the GOP candidate.
Like Obama, Romney helped Deval rather than his own
Lt. Governor (a woman with whom he never shared the stage).

Whereever Romney walks, the state beneath him is cursed.

Picturing Romney as a greasy used car salesman is certainly fitting. Hair could use a little more grease, though.

All depends on which Democrat faces him in the primary. I can’t see any Republican in MA right now who is strong enough to give the Democrat a real run for the office.

No argument, it’s just the constrast in driving on 128 on a snowy day when Romney was governor compared to Coupe deVal is stark.

There was a snow storm when Romney was governor that was bigger than the blizzard of ‘78, struck during rush hour and had the potential for being a disaster, and no even remembers it today.

Deval Patrick’s campaign makes this the first re-election test of the Obama method.

Actually, Deval Patrick is the original. He's the Negro in Charge of Hating White People, cultivated and hothoused in the Civil Rights Division of Reno Justice under Goatboy and Beastwoman. Deval Patrick was held up as a totem of the regime's esteem for Sistah Souljah types and all their brooding little long-term resentments against Whitey.

What odds the independent has been secretly cultivated by Rat Central, to split the honest people's vote?

Mittens doesn't need much more of anything, since he has the royal assent from Manor Bush.

Did you see Jeb out campaigning -- uhh, "talking to the voters" -- with Mitt last April?

And that was after Poppy gave Mittens the nod in 2007, when they had that rameumptom down in Texas around turkey time, and Poppy made it clear that as far as he was concerned, Mitt was First Among Equals, favorite captain of the New York Yacht Club, and the Anointed of the Zoramites.

Yes, both clients of David Axelrod.
Obama copied / ripped off Deval Patrick speeches

Dave is a very sharp cookie. He is using some highly original psychological research done way back when the Dems were thinking of Tom Bradley as Mayor of LA, needing someone they could control.

Problem: selling a black man to white democrats. They chose as their model ...swear to god and if I'm lyin' I'm dyin'... Uncle Ben, the guy on the rice box.

Tall, not heavily negroid facial characteristics, light brown in color, smiling ... a solid familiar non-threatening African-American wise old family retainer that presumably everyone knew and loved from their childhood and watching Disney.

Deval and Barack fit the mold, although the Muslim handle was problematical and had to be focus grouped all by itself. And yes, and yeah, Dave sold both these tan ass-klowns the same speeches.
