Regarding Congress' vetting of the Dim and 'Pub presidential candidates back in '08:

The way I heard it was the 'rat Congress had set out to pre-empt citizenship problems for Obama by leveraging off the fact that McLame's birth history could be made to look suspect.   In what was hoped to be a quick sleight of hand, both 0bama and McLame were to be declared eligible via Congressional vetting (whatever extra-Constitutional imprimatur and halo that would lend the candidates). McLame's case was able to be dealt with quickly and but for some reason, Zero's ran aground and hit roadblocks, such that some people were skeerd to put their name to it. The case for Zero fell apart, and the Left buried it, hoping no one would notice.

...and I'm pretty sure it didn't happen during the Reagan administration...

You said he had to prove it, which he did not. What you're referring to was a non-binding Senate resolution in response to a bogus California suit claiming McCain was not a natural born citizen. And if you read the resolution it gets the circumstances of McCain's birth wrong, so it is an unapplicable, non-binding Senate resolution. Can anything be more worthless than that?

Lets wait and see what the judge(a Marine) in Santa Ana, CA rules...that case hits right at the issue of Hussien's eligibility to be POTUS and the judge has already stated in court “I jus' gots to know” LOL

Consider this possibility: to the extent that statement is true O’s handlers would not want to risk their gains, they will cause him to resign prior to the commencement of impeachment.

Once could throw in the need to avoid race riots as well, but the handler’s will regard that as only necessary to save a faltering economy. O will leave office for the “good of the entire nation” and make every effort to placate his constituency and avoid riots.

Biden will legitimately assume the office and, as Right Cal Gal indicates, the handlers will “encourage” him to select Hillary as his VP. Too many variables at this point to accurately predict the outcome.

It is obvious to many that we do not escape this threat to our nation until we change the composition of the Congress. Until then, they have a game plan and the votes, and we can only try to catch up.

I was referring to Biden’s assuming the Presidency and his appointment of a Vice President. If both Obama and Biden are declared inelligible, then I have no idea what we’d do.

Too many repercussions. This Presidency, legal or not, will never be allowed to be rescinded.

The problem there is- Arnold Schwarzegger can then claim precedent has been set and run for President too. If we don't deny Obama if he is not natural born why deny the Austrian?

If it is demonstrated that Obama is not natural born, me must be removed. The man would have knowingly and willfully defrauded his way into the office. The repurcussions for not removing him would be unacceptable.

If you split out the players the way it used to be done then Biden would not be president because this is not a normal succession.

If you go by the Constitution the Biden would be. The 25th Amendment: In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President. Obama is president. In the event of his removal from office, including for fraud and ineligibility, then Biden is president. Period. McCain had his chance, he blew his chance, there is no way that he could ever be president based on the 2008 results.
