Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is leading Sarah Palin in the early fund-raising race among potential 2012 GOP presidential candidates, raking in a cool $1.6 million in the first six months of the year, new figures show.
Romney, who raised more than any other Republican during his time in the 2008 primary, has continued his torrid pace, more than doubling the $733,000 raised by Palin since Jan. 1.
Romneys Free and Strong America political action committee raised a total of $1,610,019 since Jan. 1 while handing out $74,000 to federal and state GOP candidates nationwide. After expenses, the PAC was left with $841,000 cash, according to a federal campaign finance report filed yesterday.

Ping to incindiary’s video in post #19. Devastating stuff, in Slick Willard’s own words...
They forgot the 5 point margin of error.
It’s a dead heat.
not that it matters
So anyone whose policy position on healthcare we don’t like is a socialist?
No, the socialized medicine, pandering to the gay lobby, support for bailouts and TARP is what makes him a socialist. The willingness to take any position necessary to further his political career is what makes him a slimeball.
The problem, and the reason I’ll never vote for Romney, is that underneath all the ‘conservative’ veneer, his policies won’t be drastically different from Obama’s. The train will still keep going to the left, but it’ll just go a bit slower. And he’ll pretend that cap-and-trade and socialized medicine are okay if we do them the ‘conservative’ way. That way, we get blamed when it all goes to hell in a handbasket instead of the liberalism that is being appeased. You know, kind of like No Child Left Behind, TARP, and a whole host of other disasters.
Republicans like Romney are a cancer.
When did Sarah say she was running for prez ? Why would she be fund raising for prez now ? I smell rino crap !
Even Hannity was kicking dirt on Palin this PM. The anti palin propaganda machine is well oiled with rat and rino piss !
Let’s face it my a**. Mitt would fail against Bozo. Why? Because people like me would write in Sarah Palin. I will NOT vote for another RINO. Even if I didn’t write in Sarah’s name Mitt would lose because the people don’t want Dimwit lite, they want conservatives or nothing. Period. NO MORE FRICKIN’ RINOS. Got it?
On a related note, when was the last time Romney wrote an op-ed against a 0 policy?
Anyone who forces health insurance on people, yes.
Get yer red hot $50 abortions right here!
If Hannity is not crazy about Sarah Palin, she has some work to do.
A vote for Mitt Romney in the primary is a vote for Obama in the general. Mark it.
He should have lead them to a better solution, but he’s an oppurtunist so he didn’t care.
Funny, I live in MA and I still have the exact same health insurance I had before Romneycare started. I guess they missed out on forcing me into it.
Actually I think he has done them. The only thing is, nobody can take him seriously, because he’s taken every position on every issue at one time or another.
Too bad Slick Willard is neither a Conservative, nor a Republican.
Do not underestimate the money from the so called sky...He’s not the peoples person! He is just another RINO elite.
If Mitt had by some quirk in reality won in 2008, he would have lost worse than McCain. If he is the nominee in 2012, he will lose more states than McCain, he’ll be lucky to get Oklahoma and Texas. He’ll lose all the states McCain lost in the South plus Georgia, in fact, I don’t see a single state in the South he’ll be able to take after Soros in the guise of a conservative PAC, blanket the airwaves with Mitts most memorable moments.
They’ll remind everyone why Massachusetts has gay marriage, and the relative to Obamacare, Romneycare. They’ll play his own duplicitous words about Reagan and abortion, his love for gays in the military. The only answer Romney will have is to claim discrimation against Mormons which will really go well in the South.
If the republicans truly want to nail their coffin shut, they should nominate Mitt. The only way they will be able to win in 2012 is by choosing a candidate who is so different from Obama the contrast will be obvious. Mitt is too liberal. We need a real conservative in 2012 not Mitt.
