The man was not being choked and killed and forced into resisting arrest and drawing the officer into a long violent struggle.
Ditto. Let us rewind. Officer is more passive and lets perp swallow drugs. No evidence. Perp walks and goes home. The next day befriends your daughter and introduces her to meth. Now she is addicted and in desperation to feed her habit, steals, shoplift and one day exchanges sex for meth with a man with HIV. Now you are stuck with medical bills to keep her alive and deal with medical complications. So those defending the perp, you still want him alive?????? Unfortunately in the real world it would not be your kids, because stupid people never suffer from their mistakes, it is always the innocent that pays for it.
Ya have to remember, this guy didn't just rob a bank, he did not pull a weapon on the LEO, he did not try to take the LEOs weapon, and this overweight fool never threw one single punch at the officer.
You stated this was a fight...This was no fight, and you know it...It was clear, the only thing this overweight guy fought for, was his life.
And he lost that fight as his legs finally stopped moving after doing the chicken for a minute or two.

Facile BS. The fellow simply locked his hands in front of him and the officer was determined to cuff him behind. My brother-in-law was a large beefy state ATF for 20 years and did this sort of thing many times. He says there are some guys that you simply can’t cuff like that without at least two officers, and then maybe not, and they don’t have to be attacking anyone, just refusing to cooperate. If you don’t immediately get control of that second arm he may be able to keep it from you altogether if he is a big strong guy. And this one was on meth.
The man was half way to being handcuffed and was under the control of a policeman, everything was fine and normal.
What happened suddenly to turn it into a deadly fight.
Watch the video again as he fights to transfer the drugs in the right hand that has a handcuff on it and is being held behind him by the deputy to his left hand and then into his mouth, he succeeds in doing all this.
I never witnessed a fight. The video clearly depicted the LEO attempting to obtain evidence at all cost though.
You'll note the overweight guy never threw one single punch.
