Wow. In the editorial page of The Washington Post, our soon-to-be ex-governor just delivered a howler of a jeremiad: If President Obama's cap and trade proposal for carbon emissions becomes law, America will crumble.
Gov. Sarah Palin rolled out every device in the ultra-right arsenal of unsubstantiated declarations and sloppy logic. She shamelessly knits hysterical patriotism to a new energy-based species of Manifest Destiny. (We are ripe for economic growth and energy independence if we responsibly tap the resources that God created right underfoot on American soil). She touts the promise of the natural gas pipeline, conveniently leaving out the detail that she has quit this pet project of hers before really even starting it....

I wonder if Lee Goodman has ever given any of this a thought? Palin quite obviously has.

When someone tells me they don’t like Sarah, it tells me more about them than it does about Sarah.

They are repeating the talking points. They need a Teleprompter. It would be so much more efficient—and wow!—it would be instant!

From the article, the following ASTOUNDING observation:
“...one wonders what governmental reach into the private sector she’s talking about...”
How about the banks! Or the car companies!! And next up is health insurance!!!
Oh, I get it now. The author does not consider those industries to be in the private sector.

What the governor is missing is that with cap and trade, Obama attempts a course correction in our national energy policy. What this clown of a writer is missing is that the spurious assumptions used to justify cap and trade become weaker every day, and that this huge attempt to force a change to unproven alternative energy and fantasy fuels is not at all necessary. This ridiculous and unnecessary scheme will hurt our domestic economy, make us even less competitive in international trade, and raise the cost of every product and service Americans purchase, just to name a few obvious negative consequences.
If this is what passes for editorial comment in Alaska...

Taking the third point first, one wonders what governmental reach into the private sector she's talking about, seeing as regulatory oversight of private sector affairs has been on a down-swing ever since Reagan
Please, I can't stop laughing. What does Green think all those people working for the government do all day, fill potholes? Hahahahaha

At first i was confused as to how their heads exploding would throw guts all over the place, then i remembered that most liberals have their heads up their a$$ and it suddenly all made sense. I just wonder who will freak more, the liberals or the RINOs?
