I have said all along they are going to set up a parallel, superior system for themselves, and here is proof. Kennedy, Dodd etc. are apparently aware that this possibility leaves them extremely exposed. The rest don't get it, but want to make sure that THEIR access to first-rate health care isn't threatened, and voted in their own interest, the public be damned. Choice for them, none for us.

They will never agree to Resolution 615.

Today’s media distraction:

Let’s talk about the 40 year old Apollo 11 mission. Saturate the airwaves and keeps people’s minds off what really matters.

I would love to see government employees stripped of their benefits retroactively. These people are using the power of the state for plunder.

Not just in healthcare folks. These elitists see themselves as the neo-nobles in a neo-feudalist America. They will have access and use of all resources, and you, the peasants, will have nothing.

Let’s talk about the 40 year old Apollo 11 mission Moon landing hoax.

Fixed it for you. Even the so-called "Clear" pictures look about as real as Tom Hanks receiving the Medal Of Honor from Lyndon Johnson in "Forrest Gump."

May not be great strategy by Coburn. People with high incomes, like members of Congress, can always pay out of pocket for the things that this health care bill would deny folks with lower incomes. If they take his offer, then they have a talking point they can use against his position.

Most very wealthy folks don’t even have health insurance so to force them to accept this plan is clever on the doc’s part.

True, but not one of them would accept it.

In Canada, under their socialized medicine, it is illegal for a doctor to provide medical care under those circumstances. Otherwise, all the doctors would bail out of national health care and set up their own, fee-for-service practices. The only way to stop them from doing that is to make it illegal. That is why Canadians come here for care. And that is what is in our future, and why our Overlords will set up a special system for themselves.

I saw live coverage of the moon landing; didn’t look grainy to me.

But whatever you may think: I believe the moon landing/moon walk was a moment of pride for this country. We had been bogged down by Vietnam and other negative situations. This was one time that we could be proud to be American.

Today’s missions get little coverage. Heck, Endeavour finally launched last night, and as far as I could tell, only Fox carried it live. Most of the rest of the media outlets ignored it.

Do the Congress but our family is under the Federal Employees Heath Benefits and we pay $315 a month for coverage. It isn’t free for the rank and file federal employee by any stretch of the imagination. Our co-pay per doctor visit is $20 now.

Check out the UAW’s health care plan which is a whole lot better and much, much cheaper.

The federal plan that is cheap with good coverage is the Postal Service. That’s the one everyone should want to be in but if you are not a postal employee, you can join at a much higher cost.

They should also be forced to pay Social Security and replace an overly generous pension system with a 401K.

They do pay Social Security, which they can collect along with their congressional pensions when the time comes, that is, if they ever retire.

OUTSTANDING POST!

The democrat totalitarians in Washington will NEVER permit themselves or their loved ones be subjected to the hellish system they would impose on the peasants.

Bravo to Republican Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma!
