Israeli navy in Suez Canal prepares for potential attack on Iran

Two Israeli missile class warships have sailed through the Suez Canal ten days after a submarine capable of launching a nuclear missile strike, in preparation for a possible attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The deployment into the Red Sea, confirmed by Israeli officials, was a clear signal that Israel was able to put its strike force within range of Iran at short notice. It came before long-range exercises by the Israeli air force in America later this month and the test of a missile defence shield at a US missile range in the Pacific Ocean.

Good advice, fill the gas tanks and don't forget to have a survival kit packed and ready. You just don't know what is going to blow; it be be volcanoes, quakes, power shortages, or bad weather. We are coming up on a very powerful eclipse...July 21. Eclipses have always had a reputation for bringing tough times.

It’s only a matter of time. Rumor has it that Egypt is cooperating, and Saudi Arabia has given Israel a Red Sea base from which to launch an attack, and overflight rights over Saudi territory into the Persian Gulf. This would allow Israel to avoid having to ask Obama for overflight permission in Iraq — which he would never grant. This will get interesting...

The two big questions are first, what is the Israeli ASW capability? This is because Iran has three or four operational Russian built Kilo class submarines (out of 6 total), armed with the Russian-made “Sizzler” Klub-S (3M54) missile, with a 300km range.
They also have a small fleet of other subs and mini-subs more for shallow and coastal waters.
Second is how Israel would take out the rest of the Iranian surface fleet?
That is, about four destroyers and five frigates.

THAT is something I would NOT have expected. Look where Israel is.
Look where Iran is.
See who's in between them?
Israel has a reputation for deadly accurate strikes.
Iran's missiles (SCUDS and the like) are more like a scatter of bottle rockets.
Who would you support?
