Yes indeed. And under Zerocare it will be the responsibility, no doubt, that as people age they use common sense and go ahead and end their useless lives (at that point) /s.
The end of life counseling that is mandated every few months by Zerocare is one of the most chilling but not the most destructive part of this heinous bill.
Many thanks for the ping.
How do we go about contacting Walmart and any other large companies or organizations that have come out in favor of Obamacare? I am a frequent Walmart shopper, and I want them to know how ticked off I am. It might cost me more, but if Walmart continues down their absurd socialist road (including this “green” kick they are on), I will shop elsewhere.
The problem is there are very few true conservatives left in this country. Even people who call themselves conservative are all for government educating their children, promoting “economic development”(which is a gussied up name for Soviet style planning), public parks, etc.
Sen. Jim Inhofe’s campaign ads stressed all he had done (pork) for Oklahoma. I called up his office to voice my objections to a conservative bragging about bringing home the bacon, and the nice lady told me that is what it takes to get elected and stay in office. Indeed.
So true....despite all the yelping here on FR that public opinion is coming around. They watch the polls and actually think libs would turn on their god in 2010 or 2012...blah, blah, blah. All pipedreams. The people are deluded.
From what is happening in my area, I think it has already begun. Several nurses have quit. Yesterday, one I've only seen twice, is all for the "reform." She talked to me about how wonderful the Hospice is - how they make patients comfortable. And, I commented, "On morphine, which dehydrates and hastens death. My medical history and Living Will specifically states - NO MORPHINE!" They can starve me to death, but depriving people of water is cruel.
Out of the blue, she asked, "Do you believe in life after death?" "Yes," but I let it go at that.
Last Thursday, a corporate social worker visited. She's also a psychologist. Suggested that I could benefit from therapy! I'm not depressed but I'm becoming somewhat paranoid that these people are trying to indoctrinate me, though I won't admit it to them. :)
Our pastor came to give us communion today, as he does every Sunday. I told him what's been going on, and about this nurse and social worker. His sermons for the next few weeks will be on David's despair and the 23rd Psalm, line by line.
Listening to him puts everything back in perspective, and cheers us.
As I read it, it means that if you sign up for a private health-insurance policy Monday, and the law is passed and goes into effect any time this year, the insurance company writing your policy has to cancel it.
You are going through this type of situation? If so, God bless you. Yes, thank God for His promises and for our heavenly home to which we can look with joy and comfort.
I'm not even close to needing a hospice. After our pastor left, I planted some vegetable seeds in backyard raised containers. Took me a while - very wobbly. And I'm going to have an indoor winter garden - tomatoes and herbs!
The social worker will be back next Thursday and I can show her my brand of mental therapy. I wonder if she noticed our Bible on the dining room table ... will have to make sure it is in plain sight next time.
Never know, though, Christianity may now be viewed as a form of mental illness. Wouldn't doubt it.
Good to hear! Your actions and interests are very good to read about.
Christianity as a mental illness - yes that’s the “diagnosis” by many......
But not for those who know the King of Kings....who have the promise that we are not given a mind full of fear but of hope in Him!
Sadly, I agree.
You betcha!
Thank YOU! :)
