"As United States taxpayers know, income tax laws have long implicitly encouraged marriage and childbearing...Such a pronatalist bias of course is no longer appropriate. In countries that are affluent enough for the majority of citizens to pay taxes, tax laws could be adjusted to favor (instead of penalize) single people, working wives, and small families. Other tax measures might also include high marriage fees, taxes on luxury baby goods and toys, and removal of family allowances where they exist. Other possibilities include the limitation of maternal or educational benefits to two children per family."

What a creep - How did the Senate confirm this guy?
To: lifeisacarnival
He’s not just a creep, he’s an enemy of Western civilization.

I don’t think that “czar” is a position that requires confirmation. Besides, they confirmed Holder, Geitner, will confirm Sotomayer, et al.

whups for some reason my browser double posted. . . . sorry everybody!

Eliminating tax breaks to families doesn’t punish them, it just fixes an inequity that gives them preferential treatment over individuals. They will be paying the same taxes as individuals.

As United States taxpayers know, income tax laws have long implicitly encouraged marriage and childbearing.
That's because we like America. If you don't, please leave.

The Bible rejoins that children are like arrows, how blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. (That does not mean that God can’t bless the single and the celibately married, of course.)

Sure.. half the Democratic base is large family based, but they happen to be minority, can’t touch that. Prime evidence in showing that the Democratic party is that of small cults rigidly segregated so they don’t come to know one another and hate each other.

Agree with with FPC wrote.
Thats why 0 is just hiring these czars because they are only accountable/answer to him.

I'm single, but I support tax breaks that encourage married, law-abiding people to have many children. An increasingly large percentage of my taxes goes to encouraging unmarried poor people to have as many children as possible. Our country is being stolen from us.
