(grin!) New Zealand is a Civil Defense Officer’s dream assignment!

(I was in Civil Defense and disaster planning for a few years either side of 2000)

We got lucky this past year with Ruapehu’s lahar. Fortunately it didn’t amount to much this time around (but it could have!)

Then theres the volcano in Banks Penisular between Lyttleton and Akaroa...
