Maj. Stefan F. Cook, who is refusing to be deployed because of his belief in conspiracy theories about President Barack Obama’s citizenship, is a member of, and frequent poster at, the conservative Website FreeRepublic.
Cook, who posts under the name “roaddog727,” revealed his identity in a post about the veteran networking site Together We Served. .
He’s been a member of the site for nearly six years; on his profile page he calls himself a “staunch Republican and defender of the faith” and lists his favorite authors as “Robert A. Heinlein, Larry Niven, Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Tom Clancey (sic), John Milton.”
Cook wasn’t always so worried about deployment. In February 2005, he informed fellow Freepers that he’d gotten new orders. . 
. Cook’s FreeRepublic posts are all over the map, from IT issues to global warming denialism. . 
He put out early hints that he was working with Orly Taitz. In March, he posted an incoherent white paper on Obama’s citizenship, appending a message to fellow Freepers.

Of course it does. Our oath, as stated above, INCLUDES a passage requiring us to obey our leaders, Officers, and the President.
An Officer is appointed so by an Act of Congress, not a simple Enlistment. Their oath has “legal standing” both in Civilian and Military Justice systems.
As a very proud Veteran ENLISTED man, I would have more faith and respect for an Officer who I was sure was acting legally, not the opposite, as you suggest.

Being Maj. Cook is a Ready Reservist, his may have been slightly different.

Look. This story is posted just about everywhere. Mostly by the whackjob left where he is being skewered. His personal information, which is much more harmful to him than our support here, has been posted by the left to hound him. He gets nothing but positives here.
You sound as if he might be embarrassed for having posted here, but YOU are here, and so are many others who feel this is a righteous fight.
We are at war. It’s about time we stopped fighting it while staring at our shoes and sucking our thumbs. This ain’t the schoolyard, and this is serious.
Well, I suspect his lawyer has advised him to stay off FR for the meantime. And I suppose he could ask JimRob to mute these threads...then only HuffPo and Kos and other lefty blogs would have it and point to our "cover-up."
My main point is that his REAL IDENTITY was out there when he filed the brief.

I'm not sure. Given how so many freepers like Kristinn have morphed into public personae...frankly I think this does two things:
1- It elevates FR out of the anonymous shadows, into a community of real people...like the difference between infantile obscene YouTube posts, and authored pieces on National Review, where they are responsible for what they say. People respect NRO's the Corner as a source of info...but not YouTube posts.
2- It should (could) improve the 'quality' of posts around here.
Why are small towns so much more polite than anonymous big cities? Because everyone knows everyone.
Not to belabor the point, but Major Cook REQUESTED those orders. he filed a PUBLIC lawsuit.
We SUPPORT him. Which is worse, the Ku Klux Kos ragging on him, or us bouing him up?

Can anyone answer this question?...can Obummer forge a fake long form Birth certificate?...would it stand the tests of legitimicy? Seems the short version did not...any document specialists out there?...
If Obama ordered you to enter the homes of American citizens to confiscate their guns, you wouldn't object to that??? You'd just follow the orders of your superiors???
I’d stand next to him any day of the week. He is honorably discharging his oath as far as I can see it.
You have the prerogative to disagree - no one can take that away from you; I just see it differently.
We need leaders that aren’t afraid to challenge the current administration on this very issue. Aren’t you the least bit curious why all the efforts put into hiding this information thus far have been and continue to be levied?

Most of the comments have been removed and labeled as “abusive.” Guess were negative towards obama. I’m getting really sick of the left trying to silence any criticism of Obama.

Thank you for your dedicated and courageous service for our country.
It’s not a military issue, it’s about our Constitution. One must be a natural born citizen to hold office as President. Obama is NOT eligible to serve as President (well, he hasn’t proven it to me anyway).
