NEW YORK/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama is mulling new ways to delay foreclosure for jobless homeowners who are unable to keep up with monthly payments, an administration official said on Monday.

The official told Reuters it was reasonable for policymakers to consider options for loan forbearance -- allowing borrowers to delay, defer or skip payments -- that are more effective than those currently available in the private sector.

Hit a quick bottom? I find myself in agreement with Robert Reich, who says we are at the bottom and staying there: there is no recovery, won’t be one. Remember that the Great Depression went on for 11 years, from late 1929 until 1941, and we had to have a world war to get out of it. Obama, that fine student of history, is doing his best to repeat all the mistakes of the past so that this will drag on indefinitely.

This seems to be happening already, on a vast scale, without the Kenyan's help. And what's more, the odds of actually getting evicted for it are at record lows.

So, I guess Obama will pay your mortgage. Putting the gas in your car is next. And all for a modest surcharge on people making over Jack-Squat.

There’ll be a few bad apples who’ll take advantage of this and the cycle of dependency and bailouts will continue.

If anybody is going to do this, it should be the state, not the Federal government. THIS is NOT in the Constitution and that makes it a state responsibility or an individual responsibility.

I should add to my snarky reply - actually, I’d be willing to help those who have lost their jobs. I would also be willing to help ship Pelosi and the rest of the ignorant male and female sluts in our congress to the moon. Without air.

There are only two ways out of this mess:

1. Everyone who bought a house, or who borrowed substantial money against their house in the last 10 years...and everyone who loaned them the money...and everyone who guaranteed those loans...and everyone who bought those loans...is going to have to lose their ass and let the chips fall where they may.

2. Inflate the economy to the point where $400k is chump change and screw every bond, cash and monetary asset holder in the world.

The answer is really very simple...which is easier politically?

Load up on as much debt as you can afford...and buy more houses.

I'd like that for my charge cards and business lines please. I'd also like a new car and a yacht please. I have rights.
