Police Solve Case by Inventing "Memory Machine"
Israel National News ^ | 7/13/09 | Hillel Fendel

(IsraelNN.com) The Tel Aviv Police Department “invented” a new machine that seemed likely to change the face of criminal interrogations – but it will apparently not be used more than once.

The contraption was called a “memory machine,” and was used to persuade a murder suspect that, contrary to his impassioned and repeated claims, he in fact did remember what happened the night of the murder.

Maariv/NRG reports that the story began two weeks ago

Not new.

In skilled hands, it’s actually fairly good for that.

Return of an urban legend:
Police in Radnor, Pennsylvania, interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine. The message "He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth. Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed.

Ya know, cops can lie to suspects, even in these United States. You have a right to dummy up, but a lot of jamokes think they can bs their way past the cops. They mistake the cops for their mother in this regard.

Kinda reminds me of the episode of The Wire (season 5?) when a couple of Baltimore’s finest rigged up a copy machine to be a “lie detector”.

The suspect placed his hand on the scanner, answered a question, removed his hand and the detective would hit the copy button. Preloaded sheets with “True” and “Lie” emerged to correspond to the stream of questions.

The “True” questions pertained to name & address info. But when they popped a question about knowledge of the crime out came the sheet marked “Lie”.

Let us give the Test to Obozo.

Maybe he will be able then to remember who his father was, where he was born, who was there at the time, and..............where his long form birth certificate is (Fat Chance!)
