I'm scheduled to be on MSNBC this afternoon to talk about the controversy over the pulled Free Republic thread about Malia Obama.
The segment should air live around 3:30 p.m. EDT barring any breaking news, etc.
David Shuster and Tamran Hall will be co-hosting the segment.
I'm heading out the door in a few minutes.
VIDEO: Free Republic's Kristinn Taylor Spars With Shuster Over Malia Thread
Ping me tomorrow when you're sober.
I watched the interview and we won that round. Go Kristinn!
Great video Kris!
Leftist media host all act more like prosecutors then media host.
You told the truth and you didn’t let him roll over you.
We FReepers usually let some get by unless it’s really bad, because of that free speech thing (unlike KOS) and we just hate to press that abuse button.
The FReepers Forces will be more alert to this sort of thing in the future.
Well that sure wins the day! C-YA. I’m off to bar hop.
Yeah, we need to police our own site. The outsiders won't be leaving us alone any time soon.
We learned a lot about that this weekend.
He did good but he needs to stop swinging around in that chair.
They’ll probably appoint a Czar just for this site. /s OFF
It’s also laughable that this ass-clown think DemocraticUnderground or Kos are beacons of morality. The stuff said about the Palin kids on there were reprehensible.
Come on, he didn’t swing so much that I even noticed.
He did great considering what he had to put up with and I’m talking about the “mouth” that kept interrupting.
I do that when I'm relaxed, lol. I didn't even notice him doing it.
I doubt she was either.
But her parents were very aware of the message they were sending through her.
They were using her.
That's the way leftists are.
Use your kids and act shocked when you get called on it and accuse those pointing it out of thrashing kids, and vilify the kids of your opponents for no reason at all.
Munz: Thanks for posting the link.
kristinn: Outstanding!: You did NOT let that weasel Shuster overtalk you, and you made your points clearly and completely. One thing - - how did you keep a straight face when Shuster asked you if you wanted to “apologize”? I almost blew soda out my nose! The pantload was like a caricature of a liberal mouse come to life, always looking for an “apology” for something or another!
By the way, I have never watched MSNBC and was a little surprised to see that Shuster was so young. I bet he’s younger than Perez Hilton, Anderson Cooper, David Brock, and Andrew Sullivan.
Thank you again for keeping me up to date!
Wow, Shuster used DK’s talking points to a tee, regardless if that those facts were wrong.
How odd to have this homophobic, classless, tasteless jerk commenting on etiquette.
DAVID SHUSTER, HOST: For most Americans, Wednesday, April 15th will be Tax Day. But in our fourth story tonight: Its going to be teabagging day for the right-wing and theyre going nuts for it. Thousands of them whipped out the festivities early this past weekend, and while the parties are officially toothless, the teabaggers are full-throated about their goals.
They want to give President Obama a strong tongue-lashing and lick government spending-spending they did not oppose when they were under presidents Bush and Reagan. They oppose Mr. Obamas tax rates-which will be lower for most of them-and they oppose the tax increases Mr. Obama is imposing on the rich, whose taxes will skyrocket to a rate about 10 percent less than it was under Reagan. Thats teabagging in a nut shell.
(snip)
We can only speculate why widespread teabagging made Cavuto think of the Million Man March, unless he got them confused with Dick Armey. And in Cavutos defense, if you are planning simultaneous teabagging all around the country, youre going to need a Dick Armey.
I tried but inat least one case my ears listened faster than my fingers typed.
Bookmark! Chris Parry has a vendetta against FR!
It is a legitimate form of interviewing....But he would have been better to say...The article in the Sun says that: or Kos says that... What do you say?....Instead he just quoted their position...knowing Kristinn would show the error in the statement. Kristinn was ready for him.
Our debate coach would often do that. State a comment we all agreed on or disagreed with and then show us our error or let us prove him wrong....
No thanks.
You seem proud of what you did.
It would be stupid to post it again so you can achieve more fame.
Good job Kristinn!! You didn’t let him over talk you and he had the better setting. You could tell that he was frustrated by you knowing what tactics they usually use. They interrupt in order not to let the guest speak.
After watching the video on realpolitic, I’m in awe of Kristinn and proud of our FR, once again.
Jim, you are responsible for the best community online. Thank you for the home and for the family you’ve brought together here.
Just saw the video. Kudos to you Kristinn. You were cool, calm, collected, and stayed on message. JR, excellent choice for FR spokesperson.
And please tell that Jim Thompson guy, too.
