-snip- *****Update II: Maybe before Shuster goes any further with this, he might want to investigate the Vancouver Sun writer's possible connection to Daily Kos (h/t NBer carolina09).
"HollywoodOz" has written some pretty vile stuff at DailyKos during his tenure. These included playing a mnemonics game wherein "BUSH" was "Bloody Useless Sack Of Hatred" and CHENEY was "Can He Eat Negro Eyes Yet."
He's also fond of creating Google bombs, including one in 2005 to make Bill O'Reilly look like a terrorist sympathizer.
What's the connection to the Sun's Chris Parry? Well, Moxie Online has a member named HollywoodOz, real name Chris Parry. Technorati also shows HollywoodOz as Chris Parry.
Beyond this, a man simply calling himself Oz runs a blog called Notes From the Nat which follows baseball, in particular the Vancouver Canadians. In 2006, a fan sent in an e-mail message wherein Oz was referred to as "the wizard of HollywoodOz, Chris Parry."
Finally, DKos's HollywoodOz often cites Vancouver newspapers and other Canadian media as he did here, here, and here.
Is this all a coincidence?
Maybe, but as you might imagine, the Freepers are up in arms about this revelation.
Will MSNBC and Shuster investigate any of this before they go ahead with this planned report?
Stay tuned.

You may be right. Nonetheless, people from DU post here just like people from FR post at DU.
And what they implied, said, reported, said they heard...about Sarah Palin’s little ones is okay!?!?!?!?
Give me a break!!!!!
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
Not may, but there are.
We know that trolls appear from time to time or more . But whether a troll started something or not it is still up to the individual to be held accountable for what he says or does. This is a difference we as conservatives hold close to our vests. It’s not the group but the individual and we need to police ourselves more so we can poke their eye harder.

I don’t even know his daughters names, Propecia and Sinutab?
It wasn’t a new signup that posted the article. It was a legit article. It was some posts that were objectionable.
Even the left-wing blograg Gawker admits Chris Parry planted it.
We really need to have the IP add. for the hit and run posters. It is very easy to cross reference on the web.
That’s what DU does. Does that answer your question?
Well anything that helps shut down MSNBC would be a good thing!
I don’t think days would work since many sign up and then wait until later to post. If posts need to be moderated it should be done as the first X number of posts with it beign posted the number. You’d find out really fast if you had trouble makers. It is a PITA to have to do that as a mod but it does keep thigns on the up and up. I’ve had a small yahoo group since 2000 and new members are always moderated until I know for sure they aren’t spammers or worse.
with it should be without it being posted. That way if you see someone posting nasty things over and over they can be removed before any damage is done.
Nah he’s a liberal so he won’t be fired, he’ll be promoted. Maybe the NY Times will give him a job
I don’t think any Freeper was bashing Malia personally; she’s a kid and has a lot to learn. Her parents were/are at fault. It was up to them to say, “What the hell are you thinking... going out dressed like that?! Change your clothes! I’m the President of the United States, for Pete’s sake! How do you think that reflects on me and our country?!?” Of course, that would parents who have discernment and love America and have good taste and... and...
