The pundits are wrong. Conventional wisdom is wrong. Sarah Palin's decision to step down as Alaska governor was a brilliant move.

The pundits call her a quitter, but let's be honest - the pundits never liked her to begin with. Better to take one hit for stepping down and move on than to stay in Alaska and die a death by a thousand cuts.
Governor or not, Palin is still the biggest star in the Republican galaxy. After all, who else have they got?

I for one take Sarah Palin at her word. She is doing what she thinks is right for her family and for Alaska
This isn’t the first time that Willie Brown has been right on the money. Sure, he was a corrupt politician, but as a commentator he’s not afraid to abandon the party line and tell it like it is.

Great post! Willie Brown, who knows more about politics than all the “conservatives” who’ve been bashing Palin. I really don’t mind (well I mind, but I expect it) the lefties bashing her, but when our side piles one I want to bang my head against the wall.

The fact that a husband and wife would “choose” to bring a child into the world with a defect drives the folks that “support a women's right to choose” up the wall.

Sarah palin is doing things a NEW WAY! The old bull pundits and strategerists like Rove are so used to doing things the OLD WAY that they HATE her for breaking NEW GROUND that they never thought of doing because they are sooooo cautious!
