Bashing George W. Bush still politically potent - (BARF)
Politico ^ | July 11, 2009 | Jonathan Martin

Vice-President Joe Biden was standing by Jon Corzine's side when the New Jersey governor kicked off his re-election campaign last month, but it was hard to tell from Corzine's remarks that there was a new administration in Washington.

"America doesn't need to be Bushwhacked again," Corzine declared, jabbing his index finger and drawing loud cheers. "New Jersey cannot afford to be Bushwhacked again."

A week later and hundreds of miles to the south, Virginia state Sen. Creigh Deeds accepted the Democratic nomination for governor with a similar message.

"Tonight, Virginia, we move into the general election where there's a stark choice: of whether Virginia continues to move forward in the tradition of Mark Warner and Tim Kaine or whether we move backwards with the disastrous economic and social agenda of [GOP gubernatorial nominee] Bob McDonnell and George W. Bush."

That is because no one has ever defended Bush, even himself. Bush did the worst PR of any president ever.

This argument is starting to lose traction as it becomes clear what the Zero is doing and nothing is getting better.... Dems have always prided themselves on being great for the economy...not working!!!!

Bush never stuck up for himself. And the kick me sign remains on him. It is time to put that sign on Reid, Pelosi, Obama, Frank, Schumer, Dodd, idiot Joe Biden, and Obama.

When you do not have an arguement of substance, that is the approach to take. This is especially true for those that are intellectually dishonest and bankrupt. This is right in line with tossing the “race card” at the drop of a hat.

I’ve heard a lot people say that they miss Bush, and maybe he wasn’t so bad, after all. The bashing Bush thing won’t work as well as they think here in VA.

Should there be another terrorist attack, that will suddenly be the end of Bush bashing and a newfound respect for the man will arise.

I hope that there isn’t, but if there is, I hope it’s on the left coast this time - CA, OR, WA.

Hah, you don't give the MSM enough credit. Obama's poll numbers have tanked to their lowest levels this week and, coincidentally, in the last couple of days, both the AP and the New York Times have come out with stories bashing the Bush admin- the Bush surveillance program and the alleged massacre of the Taliban. I mean, these are old stories, yet the MSM is suddenly pushing them again.

That doesn’t mean the people are buying, though. Reminds me of the old Soviet paper “Pravda” (ironically named “Truth”). Soviets used it for toilet paper. ‘Nuff said.

agreed 1000%...I always said I hated GWB’s enemies more than he hated them...but the fact is how politically potent is the Bush-bashing???? are these crowds full of independents who may sway these elections or just rat-wing supporters who flip on the switch and BDS is in full motion???

the general public is getting sick of the Bush bashing and are beginning to realize the zero we have in the WH is exactly that!!!

The right has never played that game very well.

Have you noticed how every time Obama starts to fall in the polls they start in on the Bush and Palin bashing. Before the next election there won’t be a republican that isn’t some kind of horrendous evil doer according to the left and their media bashing machine.

Obama never had anything other than bashing Bush. It is not surprise 7 months into his Presidency, that is all he is still doing. None of Obama’s policies are producing fruit. All his promises of change and hope are proving to be empty. There is no denying things are worst off now then they were when he took over.

I wonder how many election cycles they think they can continue to campaign against George Bush?

Note to democrats; He’s gone. You own America.

In addition to being mentally diseased, apparently RATS have a hard time “letting go” as well.

AFAIC, they can bash President Bush 24/7/365. They might as well yell at a wall. All the screaming and yelling will never change the fact that -7nobama is a miserable failure.

Thanks for the ping!

I am a Bush Basher too, he deserves our disgust BUT the Bush gravy train is running out for democrats, it has become the Obama economy . After having many years of Bush cover the rats finally have to produce something and cant. Let them destroy all the jobs they want, how about a minimum wage of $20 per hour? No, we deserve $30 per hour, and employer based health care and day care and 8 weeks vacation like in M Moores movie Sicko ? (We need a single republican on Sunday talk show debate to propose $30 per hour and make democrats explain why it wont work, heck, propose an amendment to some bill.) Now that the public expects Obama to create the jobs, produce, and not screw things up it's his time to sweat.

Congressional democrats are terrified to raise taxes without republican cover LOL ala 1993 disaster.

I think the time has passed for the rats to keep playing the Bush card. People are worried about their cash flow and they’re in charge now, Bush is gone.

It sure worked in 2008 though.
