Washington Times Has Now Updated Title from "EXCLUSIVE: Palin to stump for conservative Democrats"
Washington Times ^ | July 12, 2009 | Ralph Z. Hallow

ANCHORAGE, Alaska | Brushing aside the criticisms of pundits and politicos, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she plans to jump immediately back into the national political fray — stumping for conservative issues and even Democrats — after she prematurely vacates her elected post at month's end.

The former Republican vice-presidential nominee and heroine to much of the GOP's base said in an interview she views the electorate as embattled and fatigued by nonstop partisanship, and she is eager to campaign for Republicans, independents and even Democrats who share her values on limited government, strong defense and "energy independence."

"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said over lunch in her downtown office, 40 miles from her now-famous hometown of Wasilla — population 7,000 — where she began her political career.

For God’s sake she isn’t gonna support any Democrat. There aren’t any Conservative Democrats. She said IF, IF there is a Conservative Democrat who shares her views, she would support them. IF, that is a HUGE If because I have never seen one Conservative Democrat. All she is doing is sending the lazy, elitist GOP a serious message to start recognizing the power of Conservatism. I will pretty much guarantee you that no Democrat will ask for Sarah’s support, yeah that is what every Dem’s dream come true is, a Conservative woman coming to one of their rallies to bash their Messiah Obama, yeah that outta get a standing ovation

I agree with everything you say except I have my fingers crossed for US and for the USA. If Sarah is that person, that's fine by me but I have no idea who all is going to run for prez and a lot can happen. That is why I'm not willing to jump on her bandwagon, or anyone else's for that matter.

I know I want a new face. No more Romney, Huckabee, etc. I don't want to see their faces in Iowa.

FWIW, Pence is coming, Barbour was just here. I liked him but he raised the ire in many conservatives because he pleaded for unity and used the example how had used RINOS to achieve pro-life legislation in MS to where it is one of the most pro-life states in the country.

Well, this caused WWIII because he was willing to compromise his ideals and ask the rest of us to abandon our principles for party. You've heard it over and over. Nevermind the results he got. That wasn't good enough. I'll take results any day, even if I have to use some RINOS rather than total surrender.

Some people cannot and will not read the polls on this as other topics. They are hell bent on giving obamma 8 years.

In a sign of a how hostile the electoral climate is for Republicans this year, Smith has run a series of ads distancing himself from his party and focusing on his willingness to reach across the aisle. He is the first incumbent Republican senator to tout their ties to Obama in their re-election campaign. http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/06/24/republican-senator-touts-ties-to-obama-in-new-ad/

January 07, 2009 US: Nancy Pelosi re-elected speaker of House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, who scripted history by becoming the first female speaker of the US House of Representatives, was re-elected to the post, easily trouncing her Republican rival. Pelosi, a Democrat from California, defeated Republican John Boehner by 255 votes to 174 on the first day of the 111th Congress. With this Pelosi would now lead the ruling Democratic Party in the House of Representatives which has 20 more Democrats than the previous Congress. "Thank you to my caucus for granting me the historic opportunity of breaking the marble ceiling and to serve, once again, as the first woman Speaker of the House," she said, soon after her re-election as she pledged to govern from the middle. Referring the economic recession, she pressed that the new caucus held the responsibility to work together at a time of "profound challenge". "Without reservation, let us stand together -- not just today, but in the days ahead -- to live up to that resolve. Few Congresses and few Presidents in history have been given the responsibility and the privilege of serving the nation in a time of such profound challenge," Pelosi said. Welcoming new members, Pelosi asked her colleagues in the House of Representatives -- both Republicans and Democrats -- to shed their differences in order to work together for the American people. "We will look forward, not backward; we will join hands, not point fingers; we will rise to the challenge, recognizing that our love of country is stronger than any issue which may divide us," she said. Wonder how many of 255 who voted for Pelosi as speaker, are "conservative" Blue Dogs Sarah want to campaign for? Sure, they'll accept Sarah help tp win in conservative districts, Only to vote for San Fran Nan as speaker!!

If faced with a choice between a RINO and a (rare) conservative DEM, I would vote DEM and the GOP backed RINO can go straight to hell.

That’s a no win senario. Stretch Pelosi is smiling over every vote the Blue Dogs get.

Well, considering that Governor Palin just posted THIS at the SarahPAC site as well as on her Facebook Page Notes, I would sat that Tammy Bruce's suggestion that she wants to "build an independent conservative movement and take this nation back from the liberals which now control both parties" is on target.

but if she supports Democrats I’d will have lost my respect for her.

Please read her comments thoroughly.

“That’s a no win senario. Stretch Pelosi is smiling over every vote the Blue Dogs get.”

Unlike Republicans, I refuse to vote for socialists just because they have “R’S” after their names. I’d vote blue-dog a million times before I ever voted for a Lincoln-Chafee brand of Republican.

Very strange how that post would be on her facebook page since it is written by someone who has never met her. Do you think it is possible that this is her motive, to make a new party? If this is in her mind right now, it would take years to create, it would not be done by 2012, it takes many years to create a party. I don’t think she is gonna create a new party, I think she is gonna create a new MOVEMENT, that is different then new party system. A two party system is always the best bet, but I think a new movement would be wonderful, where do I join

Very misleading. If she campaigns for a Dem, they better have their own funding because the DNC and their Congressional committee will cut them off immediately.

This is actually a smart move.

The best thing is to keep the GOP for now - divided we fall - and implement YOUR idea...kick OUT the country club Republicans that have RUINED our party.

Let's take our PARTY and our COUNTRY back!!! Polls show there are more Conservatives than there are Republicans - I heard this just yesterday. So...we had it THEIR way last election...now, it's OUR WAY! I precinct walk and I know true Conservatives have been looking for a candidate to vote for --if there isn't one...they stay home (much to my dismay). If Sarah stays on this course, she will have the Conservatives and the best of the Republican Party - that's 2/3 of America.

I could see Palin drawing democrats—those who have retained an ability for common sense—away from the democrat party. Together with American conservatives it could be quite a success.
