ANCHORAGE, Alaska | Brushing aside the criticisms of pundits and politicos, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she plans to jump immediately back into the national political fray stumping for conservative issues and even Democrats after she prematurely vacates her elected post at month's end.
The former Republican vice-presidential nominee and heroine to much of the GOP's base said in an interview she views the electorate as embattled and fatigued by nonstop partisanship, and she is eager to campaign for Republicans, independents and even Democrats who share her values on limited government, strong defense and "energy independence."
"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said over lunch in her downtown office, 40 miles from her now-famous hometown of Wasilla population 7,000 where she began her political career.

It’s my favorite photo of Palin too. She’s looking at The Only One who can use her to accomplish anything!
Over half the Democrat delegation in the GA House and GA Senate are more fiscally and socially conservative than most Republican in the OH House and the OH Senate.
You’re right at that! Actually, I looked up Zell Miller online to read what he’s doing now. Apparently, he’s teaching somewhere. The article also said he wasn’t supporting either B. Obama nor H. Clinton in last Fall’s election!
You asked for a conservative Dem, I gave you one. I don't know a single republican nor independent voter....Let me 'splain something to you. Most of the state of Oklahoma is Democrat, Blue Dog Democrat. But, for some strange reason, we are the reddest state in the union. Our senators are Inhoffe and Coburn.
You can spin all you want, Palin reaching out to the hundreds of thousands of CONSERVATIVE Democrats is good.

Good.
This is going to make some difficult Freepers very mad ... Ha.
Actually thinking about the big picture and attracting voters who are not in the "base" is good political thinking.
Actually, attracting voters who are not in your "base" IS the key to an any election VICTORY...
Name ONE Democrat who shares her values.....just one.
Excellent
What makes you think the GOP establishment does not want Palin. I know the Republican Party of Iowa and Senator Grassley has been trying to get her to come here for a long time. Up until now, she has not accepted. Who knows what will happen now. Frankly, I want a better explanation of the happenings today before I'm going to get excited about going to see her.
If she's willing to stump for RATs, I may not be willing to part with my money to go see her.
You're in charge. Show me the way and I'll follow.
Why don't you just stick your head back in the sand, because it's quite obvious you have no intention on reading the excellent rebuttals posted to you and comprehending them. No, you're just like a friggin' kid who screams while a parent tries to reason with him.
That's the whole point of it, isn't it?
She didn't say she will support this or that Dem. She said she'd support ANYONE IF they share her ideas and values.
If there isn't a dem who does this (very very likely), then end of story.
She just says that principles goes over party.
That's all.
No, you were the one who missed the point. I understood exactly what you were trying to say.
“its about Conservative values”
It’s about the Constitution....(not trying to be argumentative but our conservative principles are derived directly from the intent of our Conservative founders scripted in the Constitution.) We need to get away from labels and get back to the Constitution (as originally intended and written)
Some Freepers consider independents just as evil as the demmocrats. Sigh ...
These days, another Republican/Independent politician advocating trying to gain support across party lines would be ripped to pieces and may even be called a RINO by MANY here.
Luckily, Freepers worship Sarah ... (when you look like she does, who wouldn't worship her) so what Palin says, goes; no questions!!!
Securing your base is how you gain support. Reaching across to other parties voters is how you WIN elections. Way to Go Palin for thinking smart.
I still say 2016. 2012 is still too early. If she can create a huge following, 2016 is hers.
Regardless, on how I feel about her chances, I would DEF vote for her in 2012.
Okay, prove to me by his voting record he’s conservative. I doubt he is, but I’m willing to be proved wrong. Most of them talk well when campaigning and then vote as lib as they can get away with.
