"He has the great ability to get people together, and negotiate to get a consensus," said Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona.
(snip)
Hatch, who has collaborated with Kennedy on major healthcare bills such as the Childrens Health Insurance Program, said that a month ago he had an "extensive, hour-long conversation" by phone with Kennedy. The Massachusetts senator promised to work with him on healthcare, he said, but instead the committee came out with a partisan bill that had done away with bipartisanship."
"If Kennedy had been here," said Hatch, the first thing he would have done is pick up the phone and call people like me and say, Lets see what we can do.'"

How many Republicans has McCain credited with any ‘great ability’? What an idiot he is.

And this was the guy that everyone thought was the Republican answer to counter Obama?

Wasn’t it nice that Democrats had two candidates to vote for in last November’s runoff ?

Why can’t McCain just go re-register as a Dem. since he’s always cozying up to the most left-wing radicals he can find? Isn’t he the one who said “Americans have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency”??? REALLY???? He reminds me of Biden with the nonsense he’s constantly spewing. No disrespect to his military service record, but honestly!! Time to stop drinking the kool-aid!!

McPain makes me ill.
Why doesn’t McPain just become a Demoncrat?
Why?
He’s always buttering them up and going their way.
Whynot just become one?
As for Kennedy, how’s the old drunken, womanizer doing?

Isnt he (McCain) the one who said Americans have nothing to fear from an Obama presidencyFor most Republicans, that would rank as the stupidest thing they ever said. But McCain is not 'most Republicans'. He's a sniveling apologist for his alleged political opponents.

Anyone else would have gotten prison time - BUT - this was a Kennedy. They don’t have the same standards as the common criminal without money.

I wish Hatch, Graham, and McCain would just get a room and be done with it. Invite old Ted down and the of them have one hell of a good time.
Talk about four Senators that haven’t done anything for Conservatism for the last thirty years...
