Forced abortions. Mass sterilization. A "Planetary Regime" with the power of life and death over American citizens.
The tyrannical fantasies of a madman? Or merely the opinions of the person now in control of science policy in the United States? Or both?
These ideas (among many other equally horrifying recommendations) were put forth by John Holdren, whom Barack Obama has recently appointed Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology -- informally known as the United States' Science Czar. In a book Holdren co-authored in 1977, the man now firmly in control of science policy in this country wrote that:
Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not; The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation's drinking water or in food; Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise; People who "contribute to social deterioration" (i.e. undesirables) "can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility" -- in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized. A transnational "Planetary Regime" should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans' lives -- using an armed international police force.
Impossible, you say? That must be an exaggeration or a hoax. No one in their right mind would say such things.
Well, I hate to break the news to you, but it is no hoax, no exaggeration. John Holdren really did say those things, and this report contains the proof. Below you will find photographs, scans, and transcriptions

Ethnicity can be misleading. Bloodline does not guaranty faith in God nor equate to belief in the sanctity of innocent human life.
Jacob and Esau were twins, but Esau was so powerful and skilled in hunting he felt no need for the God of his father. And it was his grandson, Amalek, who is the quintessential man with whom God warned would make war with Him from generation to generation.
Thats insane, don’t they know that reducing the births of Christians ONLY makes it easier for Islam to take over through sheer numbers, when they are having 5 and 10 kid families???
Seriously this Nation is doomed if this administration stays in office.
Shame on you.
Look at his picture again and tell me this guy isn’t stark raving mad.
I know! I hate to sound jaded but this doesn’t really surprise me... I first read about these kinds of people with this evil agenda a number of years ago, and I think we’re heading in that direction. It is part of a bigger plan... and now is the time to make people aware of it.
“Actually, if this was forced just on Detroit, LA and New York City....I wouldnt have any problem with this plan.”
You’re a nut too.
Yet even on this thread there are those who don't recognize it. And at least one of those fears that mankind will never solve the problem of survivability without active depopulation programs.
He is not alone. Just one of the many who are misled into believing that either God or nature -- including human nature's drive to overcome any adversity -- will be insufficient. You know: those who are convinced that Malthus has just got to be eventually correct.
The many places on the globe where population is indeed a problem have also been where men have not been permitted the freedom to solve their own problems without some tyrant breathing down their backs.
How about the proponents of forced sterilization volunteer to get on the cattle cars first...
One of the biggest problems Japan, South Korea and many European countries face right now is declining population. Societies and economies crumble without population growth, because the ratio of elderly to young people gets out of balance.
In Australia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Singapore, the government pays a baby bonus to increase fertility rates.

John Holdren, when he is among presumably like-minded leftist academics, is even more radical than when he is in public or in print. I know this from first-hand observation.
Yes!
Leadership by example, a concept totally unknown and utterly alien to them.
But then, their “wisdom”, such as it is, basically consists of, “Do as I say, not as I do!”
My God, as more and more of these nut cases arrive on the national stage to spew their venom, I find myself wondering more and more just when the blessed revolution is coming...
CA....
Could be the most evil and vile administration in history... can someone find this book btw??
Anyone nervous about Obamacare's coming mandatory swine flu shots? ...or whatever other trumped up public health 'emergency' is convenient?
I think I can hear hitler and his henchmen discussing the same issues, and working out ways to overcome them. Control the press, lock up all the dissidents, disarm the population and scare the rest into submission with a militia loyal only to the fuerher...the technical problems? Well, we all know how they dealt with them. Railway trucks, poison gas and crematoriums.
I agree.
These yahoos from the seventies made such wildly inaccurate predictions regarding the state of today's food and water supplies that they could easily now get jobs with the IPCC - and perhaps have already done so for all I know.
Has Holdren sterilized himslef? Is his money where his mouth is?
No, but if we continue the current transformation into the United State of Tyranny, then I might consider moving there for the relative political freedom.
"I like having open spaces..."
I'll have to admit, your rant makes me a bit nervous. I think I'd feel better too with you on the nice quiet, spacious south pole.
