Reasoning Behind the Logo: By Brendan at Freedomworks: There are a few reasons for this logo choice. One is that the left (Keith Olbermann and Josh Marshall) thinks we don't understand the connotations of the symbol, which we do. It was a purposeful decisions to create a defiant image, raised fists against the statist policies of Congress and the president. I think it's an edgy symbol that communicates the anger and the defiance of the protests happening around the country since early February. I think that we have to make sure this is a protest against what's going on in DC, and we have to convey that image to the country and the world. I fear that if we start to lose that edge, the politicians won't take us as seriously, and will write us off. I've been studying and applying the tactics of the left for the last few years, and although I despise their bad ideas, they have us beat when it comes to symbolism, activism and dominating the public debate. I think we can learn from them and co-opt their symbols, some of their messages and even their tactics.
I think we have to remember that this is a March on Washington, which should conjure up images of the street protests in other countries, like Ukraine, Poland in the 80's, Estonia, etc.. If we want the politicians to pay attention, I believe it is imperative that we keep our edge, tailor our message narrowly and maintain the populist imagery.

Obama needs more money to fly around the world and act like a King. We are expected to keep our mouths shut and pay for his extravagant spending habits.
We’re not there...yet. There are many other things that need to be done, but “teaparties” aren’t it.
The agent told me that the FR room block was filling up.
Question: How many rooms are in the FR block? I'm looking for something to hang my hopes on.
Remember everyone, if we don't have a spectacular turnout, the left will not only poo poo our efforts, but they will be re energized to pursue their commie agenda AND to destroy us and our country.
This may well be the tipping point. Question is, which way will it tip???
Not to worry! We have a room block of over 100 rooms and there are still plenty of rooms left to be booked in our block. I do urge Freepers to book as early as possible, however. Other grassroots groups will be joining us from the Tea Party Express Caravan that JimRob is on.
Perhaps the hotel person said that to urge folks to book sooner rather than later. Which I also recommend. If you are planning to come, just book since you can cancel if for some reason you have to when September comes. Also, I hope Freepers will purchase their Convention tickets as soon as possible. We are working on confirming speakers and you will not want to miss any of our Convention events! And remember, JimRob will be there too!
