Breaking on Fox.
Looks like Pelosi has won and she is about to beat-down on Panetta and the CIA. Obama is certain to gut our INTEL capabilities.
With this being such a stunning super-secret CIA program, how can we ever know whether Panetta is lying now or not?
More cover for Pelosi and perhaps used as intimidation to get testimony against Bush and crew.
Exactly.
How many more ways will these traitors beg for a bloody civil war?
One more incident in a series of events. To me Barry the commie jihadist liberal is just a game of divide and conquer.
He can honestly say he has not betrayed his country because this is NOT his country.
Panetta’s such a dumbass this is probably the first “secret” program they let him know of.
This makes no sense at all. Pelosi said that the CIA lied to them all the time.
The allegation here appears to be that the CIA was considering some kind of program that was never implemented. If that’s the case, there was nothing to brief Congress about.
I think this sounds like some poorly planned skulduggery to try and clear Pelosi and I don’t think it’s working well.
LOL! Was thinking the same! Imagine all the SUPER DUPER MEGA SECRET CIA Programs he does NOT know about! ;)
“Gentlemen don’t read each other’s mail.” is a quote from Henry L. Stimson when he shut down the State Department crypto section in 1929. Methinks you are mixing your metaphors.
Read (watch) his lips.
Let me get this straight:
Lie #1) The Dems campaign on a promise to close Gitmo because they sell the lie that waterboarding is torture.
Lie #2) It is revealed that Pelosi knew about the waterboarding. She claims she was purposely misled by the CIA.
Lie #3) On an unrelated area, the head of the CIA admits that the CIA lied to Congress. We are led to believe that this is somehow related to waterboarding, or is indicative of a pattern of lying by the CIA.
Lie #4) The head of the CIA cancels a “Super-Secret” program. Specifics aren’t given. But the head of the CIA is “shocked.” Implication: ‘there now...we got rid of the problem, can we just move along now?’
They don’t teach American history in Indonesia.
With all due respect, I REMEMBER watching those hearings on TV at the time and that’s PRECISELY what the smug, late, not-great Senator from Idaho (the same state that gave us the esteemed George Hansen — go figure!) said.
That you remember that Church lifted it from Stimson tells me you are really old. LOL.
Libs are trying to change the topic of deteriorating economy and put the republicans on the defense.
double secret probation?
There was a congressman from Michigan (Rogers, I think?) on the Beck program this morning who discussed this. He’s on the committee and knows what this refers to, and he said it’s utterly political.
This was one project similar to many others that Congress was notified about, and the CIA didn’t discuss this particular one with Congress because they decided it wasn’t going to work and they never went through with it. But they did discuss several other nearly identical projects that they had decided to move forward.
There was no duty to inform Congress because there was no project. It’s absolutely a non-issue.
“How many more ways will these traitors beg for a bloody civil war?”
There is no limit to what they will attempt because no one HAS ever tried to stop them and no one WILL ever try to stop them.
So expect a bloody and sudden civil war.
