Peggy Noonan, the sometimes Republican (but hardly conservative) columnist/ Obama supporter, devoted her weekly editorial to sticking a fork in Sarah Palin and pronouncing her "done". Here are some of the linguistic gymnastics Noonan uses to express her disdain for everything Palin:
she was not thoughtful
She was a gifted retail [politician]
She never learned how the other sides think
She couldn't say what she read because she didn't read anything.
She wasn't thoughtful enough to know she wasn't thoughtful enough.
What she is, is a seemingly very nice middle-class girl with ambition, appetite and no sense of personal limits.
She makes the[Republican]party look stupid, a party of the easily manipulated.
...she is a ponder-free zone. She can memorize the names of the presidents of Pakistan, but she is not going to be able to know how to think about Pakistan
She hurts, as they say, the Republican brand, with her mess and her rhetorical jabberwocky and her careless causing of division. Really, she is the most careless sower of discord since George W. Bush
This all comes from an ostensible Republican opinionator who crossed the line and endorsed Barack Obama. I might continue to read Peggy Noonan's writing if she ever stopped complaining long enough to explain what she sees in Barack Obama that differs from the comments above.
Absent her endorsement of Barack Obama, Noonan's opinions might merit the time for careful consideration. But in light of her choices, and the fact that she supported Barack Obama over John McCain, she is not to be taken seriously when she lectures us about leadership in a dangerous world.
Why do we waste valuable pixels to air the views of these non-conservative, sad substitutes for leaders?
Peggy worships at the alter of abortion and nothing else matters.
Hard to believe she ever had anything to do with Ronaldus Magnus. she sure didn’t learn anything from him!
Another liberal leftist low-IQ’d RAT journalist trying to make a name by tearing down a truly qualified candidate.
Though I have grave misgivings about a Sarah Palin candidacy I both like and admire her. I will NEVER forgive Peggy Noonan for her vicious attacks on Palin during the election.
Noonan is past her expiration date as a voice of conservatism. Too bad, really.
For her to speak about ‘hurting the Republican brand’ in the face of everything McCain and the rest of the leadership has done to destroy that brand is beyond words.’
Oh, and someone owes Martha Stewart the biggest apology in the world right now.
Peggy is past her sell by date.
Good thing Reagan gave her material to write. That is what gave Peggy a name. The stuff she comes up with is lame.
The only thing Peggy Noonan sticks a fork in is a martini olive.
Peggy Noonam is an ignorant “Fool” in the context of the Book of Proverbs.
At one time, I found things to like about Peggy Noonan.
No more.
Stuff ans nonsense.
Envy and Jealousy rises again ...
Gov. Palin was elected to multiple offices..something Noonan has NEVER DONE!
Sarah will now get her book out, go on tour, give speeches and promote conservatie principles all over this country in the midst of the Obama administration disater and gain great political capital in the process. Then she will support conservative candidates in 2010 and help them win, amassing much more political capital. She will then take all of that and make an awesome, stunning run for the Presidency in 2012.
There was a time when people held virtue above politics. Peggy has herself become one of the ‘elitists’ or Country Club Republicans that I so despise.
“She hurts, as they say, the Republican brand”

Now, Peggy, what do you call what the RINO’s have done to the Pubbie Brand?
Speaking of forks, I wonder what the “pitch fork” crowd will do when they actually get you off your “broom”. You are just a very jealous huzzie, you know that Sarah is smarter and prettier than you. “Mirror Mirror on the Wall?”
If nobody clicks on her, maybe they’ll stop running her column.
