VATICAN CITY (AP) — President Barack Obama sat down with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican on Friday for a meeting in which frank but constructive talks were expected between two men who agree on helping the poor but disagree on abortion and stem cell research.

Michelle must think she is being respectful with that veil and looking like a pretend nun. But, OMgoodness...the belt is back. A blouse with a bow and the belt! This woman has to be drunk when she dresses. The same old tired black belt or the plastic one appears every other day on every other outfit. What a fashion icon - NOT wearing the same old accessories time after time, after time. Actually, in his traditional robes, The Pope is much better dressed, much more colorful and the Obamas just look like they are at a funeral.

This couple must have complete disregard for how to dress to show respect. In every country they visit there are faux pas and they look more like the UGLY AMERICAN rather than our president and his wife. (I never call her First Lady anymore, because she is neither First, nor a Lady.)

Certainly they have foresaken all knowledgable, appreciable advice on dressing when meeting dignataries. Obama, at least, wears a suit and tie...but Michelle always looks like her clothes were picked up from the bargain basement floor as an afterthought. Or, she got them from the Red Cross after a hurricane wiped out her closet.

yes, i was dreading what was sure to be a dayglo orange sleeveless number with bare head on Michelle’s part. she is dressed appropriately but looks hideous so instead of my head exploding i have to laugh. laura looked elegant and tasteful. this one looks like she dressed up for halloween.
